  • CONNECTICUT GLUTEN-FREE FARMER'S MARKET

    420 SOMERS ROAD, ELLINGTON, CT

    HOURS OF OPERATION: 10AM - 12PM

All potential vendors must consider the following rules and guidelines before applying:

Vendor approval will be determined by members of the CTGFM team. An official approval notification will be sent out at least two weeks prior to market date.

Vendor fees must be made payable to Market Master at least seven (7) days prior to market date. Fees are as follows: $130 for season (season vendors) or $20 per market (guest vendors). All fees are non-refundable. Please mail a check covering your vendor fee to:

    Stephanie Thomacos

    102 Windsor Street

    Enfield, CT 06082

All menu items must be GLUTEN-FREE! All vendors must be conscious of cross-contamination potential and guarantee none has taken place in preparation, storage or transport of products to the market. We plan on marking which of us are in certified gluten-free kitchens vs uncertified kitchens with gluten free products. That way people with celiacs and allergies can choose to purchase your products of their own discretion. Many people are on gluten free diets for their health as opposed to an allergy/disease.

In the event of inclement weather this winter such as dangerous driving conditions or heavy snowfall at the time of the market, vendors of the CTGFM market to be affected will be given the opportunity to vote on market closure. CTGFM will attempt to extend market season or provide substitute dates in the event of market cancellations.

Vendors must provide their own tables and business necessities. CTGFM may be able to provide resources if an emergency arises.

All baked goods must be appropriately licensed and certified under a Connecticut Bakery License or Cottage Industry License.

All goods must be prepared in Connecticut, no resales shall be permitted.
Regulations for food falling under exemption for farms (i.e: jams, jellies) can be obtained under the Connecticut Farmer's Market Guide on: ctgrown.gov

This market operates under regulation by the North Central District Health Department. All vendors offering samples and/or non-packaged goods are solely responsible for procuring the appropriate permits and submitting them no later than fourteen (14) days before market date. If you are needing a permit with them and are required to have a hand washing station please be sure it meets all their requirements as they will do inspections.

Please be aware of Health Department Cut-off dates when attempting to file proper permits, check for information at: www.NCDHD.org

Vendors are responsible for their own accepted forms of payment (i.e: cash, credit card, Venmo, Apple Pay, etc.). Vendors are responsible for having the proper sales and use tax certificates for Connecticut.

Assigned parking space will be available to all vendors, and CTGFM will allow pull-up to unload and load at two (2) convenient entrances.

Vendors must be aware that many of the spots are located on the second floor with no elevator access and minimal spots available on the first floor. Volunteers will be there to assist any vendors with any difficulties transporting products upstairs. It is a short half flight of stairs at the main entrance. We will be happy to make this work for all of us so don't hesitate to reach out to me with any concerns regarding this. (860)748-6836.

Vendors must be set up and ready to sell no later than 9:50am on market date and must not break down area until the markets ends at 12pm.

CTGFM reserves the right to expel any vendors that we feel are creating an unsafe or offensive environment that could be detrimental to any of the vendors or our customers. If there are ever any disputative events that occur, please come to us and we will be there to help the best we can.

Vendors should make a point to promote CTGFM on their individual social media, websites, or other out-reach platforms as much as possible. The more visibility we get, the better the market will be for all of us!
