An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 or other communicable diseases exists in any public place where people are present. By participating in Christmas Wonderland at Creative Works Farm, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 or other illness.*

Permission and Liability Waiver: I understand that the entire premises of Creative Works Farm is a smoke-free (including vapor and e-cigarettes), tobacco free, drug free, alcohol free, and weapon free facility and agree to follow this rule. In consideration of my desire to serve as a volunteer at Creative Works Farm, I hereby assume all responsibility for any and all risk of property damage, bodily injury, or illness that I may sustain while participating as a volunteer. Further, I, for myself and my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, hereby release, waive and discharge Creative Works Farm and its officers, directors, employees, agents and volunteers of and from any and all claims which I or my heirs, administrators and assigns ever may have against any of the above for, on account of, by reason of or arising in connection with such volunteer efforts or my participation therein, and hereby waive all such claims, demands and causes of action. Thank you for volunteering for our Christmas event! This event benefits Camp LIGHT, our summer camp for individuals with special needs and at risk youth. Your dedication to helping us make a difference is amazing!

Here is some info you need to know, as well as the answers to some questions you may have. If you have a question not answered below, please let us know! The phone number to call or text us at Creative Works Farm is 540-471-1659. We will contact you prior to the event to have you come to a walk-through meeting, where we will give more details and let you know what area you will be assisting with.

COVID precautions: Volunteers will need to ensure their areas are cleaned regularly by designated people. Hand santizer will be available in all areas. Gloves and cleaning supplies will be available for all volunteers to use as needed. Volunteers designated to help with crowd control will be important to ensure too many people are not in any area, and that cleaning happens between groups in seated indoor areas.
Volunteers will need to arrive by 4:00pm (3:00pm for parking attendants, ticket check-in volunteers, and hot chocolate volunteers). If you cannot get here by then, please make sure we are aware of what time you will arrive so we can schedule accordingly. Expect to be here until around 9pm, but you may be a little later if guests are later leaving.
If for any reason you are running late or unable to be here for the shift you are volunteering for, let us know as soon as possible! Please do your best to be here for any times you have committed to.
Parking: volunteers will park in the field area closer to the maintenance building/behind fire station unless volunteering at the barn/parking/ticket area. Keep vehicle locked.
Leave valuables at home if you need to bring something to the event and cannot lock safely in your car, we have lockers available (must provide your own lock). We are not responsible for any items brought to the event.
Dress code: this is a Christmas event…feel free to dress festive! Keep all attire family friendly. Do not wear high heels or open toed shoes. Ground is uneven in places, and some volunteers will be at the barn with animals. Be sure to wear layers so you can stay warm! You will be given a lanyard style name tag to wear. If volunteering multiple days, you will be responsible for bringing the lanyard each shift.
Cell phone use: please stay guest focused while you are volunteering at the event. Keep use of cell phones to a minimum.
Guests may ask about Camp LIGHT. We will have some brochures at the barn, and lots of info at the General store in town. We will also be adding names to our Giving Tree in town with donations of $25, $50, $100, and $300 throughout the event. Guests can learn more about the “Give the Gift of Summer Camp” program or make their donation in the General Store.
