Fall Semi Annual Art Show and Sale

LOCATION: South Surrey Recreation & Arts Centre, 14601 20 Avenue, Surrey

DATES & TIMES: Saturday and Sunday, October 17th & 18th, 2026 – 9:30AM - 4:00 PM.

ENTRY FEE/ DEADLINE: Thursday, October 8th, $10 for a maximum of three pieces.

No charge for work in baskets or cards.

DROP OFF DAY: Friday, October 16th between 5:00 – 6:00PM. Do not come earlier.

PICK UP DAY: Sunday, October 18th at 4:15 PM. (No early pickups)

By entering this show you certify that the artwork you are submitting is not a copy or derivative, or based on the work of others, and does not infringe on any copyright. No digital reproductions (giclees) or prints allowed.

You must be a paid up member of the Society to submit artwork for the show. All Artwork must be for sale. A 20% commission to the Society will be collected on sales of all work including cards and artwork in baskets. No holds allowed, all sales are final and prices set before start of show are firm.

NOTE: Submissions are final and cannot be changed. If you have submitted a piece it is considered in the show and if sold a commission is due to the art society.

ART SHOW RULES FOR ART THAT WILL BE HUNG
• Your name, the title of the piece and phone number must be on the back of the painting
• IMPORTANT: Work must have a hanging wire. Any piece without a hanging wire will not be hung. Please make sure the work has a professional look. Do not submit work that is damaged.

• Prices are to be in increments of $5.00 – for instance $195 or $200 – not $199
• Watercolour, pastel and charcoal works to be behind glass
• The work that will be hung in the show should have been produced within the last 2 years.
• Paintings will be hung by a hanging committee
• Paintings will have a show label supplied by the art coordinator.
• If you sell a painting during the show do not bring another one in to replace it.

Requirements for Card Boxes
• Only original artwork or a copy or photograph of original artwork. No books or calendars.
• Must be in plastic sleeves (no sandwich bags or saran wrap)
• Each individual card or set of cards to be affixed with a price label
• Cards to be in box, basket or rack approximately “shoebox” size – (9” wide)

Requirement for Work in Baskets  ***Not larger than 16”
• All work to be matted and in plastic sleeves or small works on canvas, canvases can be framed but must fit into a 16” box
• Baskets to contain only original artwork -- NO PRINTS
• Each artwork must be labelled with artist name, title, size, medium and price and label is to be affixed to the OUTSIDE of the plastic sleeve as label will be removed on purchase.
• List of work with the above information to be given to cash desk
• Artists can share a basket
• Minimum price on work in baskets is $20.00

All participants are required to help with the show and bring a small bag of wrapped candy. Duties will be assigned by the show coordinator. Everyone is to help with takedown.

Duties may include: Greeting/counting attendees, cash desk, floor assistant, signage, and hanging art. We will try to accommodate your requests, please choose a 1st and 2nd choice for the shifts you'd like to cover.
