    Membership types

    • Regular (Individual) Membership- Enjoys all club privileges including the right to vote and hold office. Because the number of regular members determines the size of the quorum necessary for conducting business at Club meetings, only people who expect to be able to attend most meetings should apply for regular membership.  Regular membership requires endorsement from 2 sponsors from among the CSCC members.
    • Regular Household Membership- Two adult members residing in the same household, each eligible to vote and hold office. Regular membership requires endorsement from 2 sponsors from among the CSCC members.
    • Associate Membership- Enjoy all privileges of the Club, except for voting and holding office. Associate membership is intended for those who geographically are unable to attend meetings, but wish to actively support the club in other ways. Associate members are not counted in a quorum.
    • Junior Membership- Open to individuals under 18 years of age; a non-voting/non-office holding membership which may automatically convert to regular membership at 18 years of age.

    Club dues are per calendar year (January-December) and are due by December 31st of each year. If this application is accepted after October 1 the dues will apply to the following year.

    CLUB OBJECTIVES

    1. To encourage and promote the limited, responsible and discriminate breeding of Clumber Spaniels that possess the soundness, temperament, natural abilities and temperament as described in the breed standard, and to do all possible to bring their natural abilities and qualities to perfection.
    2. To urge members and breeders to accept the standard of the breed as approved by the American Kennel Club and the Clumber Spaniel Club of America as the only standard of excellence by which the Clumber Spaniel shall be judged.
    3. To protect and advance the interest of the breed by encouraging sportsmanlike competition at all AKC sanctioned events, including but not limited to conformation shows, field events, tracking tests and obedience trials.
    4. To conduct sanctioned matches and specialty shows, field events, tracking tests and obedience trials under the rules of the American Kennel Club.
    5. To educate members and the public in the selection, care, training and breeding of Clumber Spaniel to be representative of the owners of Clumber Spaniels in its immediate area.

    CODE OF ETHICS

    Each member of the Clumber Spaniel Club of the Carolinas will consider the welfare of their breeds when engaged in any activities involving the breeding, exhibiting and selling of pure-bred dogs and will refrain from any activities which would be prejudicial to the best interest of the breeds and of this club. 1.

    1. Each member will follow the rules of AKC Code of Sportsmanship when involved in all purebred dog activities. No member shall engage in false or misleading advertising or other misrepresentation of his dogs, nor shall he malign his competitors by making false or misleading statements regarding his competitor's dogs, breeding practices, or person.
    2. Each member will follow the Guidelines for Breeders and owners of Clumber Spaniels set forth by the AKC Parent Club Clumber Spaniel Club of America.

  • The Clumber Spaniel Club of the Carolinas invites applications from all Clumber Spaniel enthusiasts whether they are involved in competitive events.

    I will abide by CSCC Constitution & By laws, the Code of Ethics, and the AKC Code of Sportsmanship. I understand that this agreement also includes the participating members of my family.

    To process your application, two club members in good standing need to endorse you. If you presently do not know two members to endorse your application or you have questions, please contact the membership secretary for assistance (see below for contact info.) Written endorsement is NOT required for Associate membership.
