Instruction Request Intake Form Logo
  • Instruction Request Intake Form

  • Librarians have found much better pedagogical outcomes when students have had a couple of weeks to get oriented with a course's syllabus and expectations prior to library instruction. They can better appreciate the role of library instruction and its impact on course success once they have settled into the semester. For that reason, we will not schedule library instruction sessions during the first two weeks of the semester with rare exceptions.

  • A two-week advance notice is greatly appreciated (and necessary) to best accommodate instruction requests, especially if you would like a recording. Please take that into consideration when planning library instruction, and thank you for your understanding.

  • If these requirements do not work for you, we have a number of other options that might help you and your students, including:

    • our Introduction to Research at the NEIU Libraries guide
    • multiple videos that could be embedded into D2L on the NEIU Libraries YouTube channel
    • scheduled 1-on-1 research consultations with a subject librarian
    • immediate chat help or in-person reference desk availability for quick questions
    • standalone online resources about artificial intelligence and higher education
  • Please complete the following form, and an NEIU librarian will be in touch with you to plan and schedule the session. We look forward to working with you and your students.
