  •  DEVELOPMENT (PLANNING) APPROVAL

    The Shire of Nannup has a number of Local Planning Policies that you may need to be aware of prior to submitting an application for Develoment Approval particularly if you are proposing to construct or alter a building which is listed on the Shire of Nannup Heritage List or is located within the Nannup Main Street Heritage or Nannup Townsite Character Areas.

  •  BUILDING APPROVAL 

    While some applications for building approval can be made directly to the Shire, you may require Building Approval Certificate issued by a private Building Surveyor. We can support you with information on the process you will need to go through with a Building Surveyor.

  •  HEALTH/FOOD BUSINESS APPROVAL 

    Health approvals include applications for on-site wastewater treatment, food business registrations and public building approvals as well as applications for certain types of businesses that have specific health requirements such as hairdressing, beauty therapy, tattooing and skin penetration procedures.

  • LIQUOR LICENCE

    The Department of Racing, Gaming and Liquor is responsible for issuing liquor licenses, however, the sale of liquor will also require sign-off by the Shire's Environmental Health (Section 39 form) and Planning (Section 40 form) departments.

  • SIGNAGE APPROVAL

    Some signs are exempt from the requirement for approval while other signs require a Development Application to be submitted to the Shire of Nannup.

    The Shire's Local Planning Policy LPP18 Signs and Advertisements sets out when an application is required along with other requirements for signs.
