  • Thank you for your interest in The Annual PASA Procurement in Practice Award “The Procurement Supply Chain Resilience Award”.

  • Key Criteria:

  • A perspective that is encouraged is that The Annual PASA Procurement in Practice Awards – The NIGELS – are meaningful awards. By meaningful award, we mean one that doesn’t just exist for the sake of existing as sometimes you might feel you see with many awards.

Your entry will ideally recognize a specific value-add, something new and different that has perhaps broken through a barrier of some sort, and, even, offer highlights that are of benefit to the entire professional procurement community not just your own team. These factors were important to Nigel and he always tried to recognise them through the awards process.

Please note that these awards are only open to procurement teams in Australia/New Zealand.

  • Nomination Instructions

    • Please complete Section 1 and Section 2 on this form.
    • Please email any additional information as a word document to lelsey@pasa.net.au

Finalists, as judged by our judging panel, will be invited to ‘present’ their submission to the audience at the 10th Annual PASA Premier ConfeX. The audience in the room then votes on the competing award nominations to decide the winner. The winners of THE NIGELS are presented at the end of the annual conference on Day Two 13th October.

    1. Brevity is good
    2. So are results – much more than process
    3. Images, layout & presentation add value and make an easy read
    4. BUT substance counts

And context is important. In this case, the context of the pandemic, the organisational culture and how it perceives procurement, and the level/status of the procurement team up until now – are they established, mature, well-resourced and accomplished – or not? Perhaps even the opposite but achieving real gains for their stakeholders?

In assessing the award, quite generally, the judges will be considering elements such as:

    • The complexity of the project
    • The business context
    • The stakeholder issues/challenges and their management through the project
    • The outcome and how this met the needs of key stakeholders
    • The ingenuity involved in designing the approach
