Have you ever wanted to try outdoor figure painting? Learn strategies and techniques for capturing a gestural likeness using principles of perspective, color, composition, shadow and light from Bridget Ertelt, a graduate of The Atelier in Minneapolis who brings a classical painting education to challenging contemporary plein air subjects. Bridget will discuss painting the overall impression of the figure while considering how the figure relates to its surrounding environment. Bridget paints in oil, but the principles to be taught apply across media. Students may paint along or watch.
