TAS Lesson Details & Updates 2025
24 Hours Advance Notice is required when cancelling &/or switching lesson days/times. If you're feeling unwell, please notify me as soon as possible so I can make the necessary adjustments. Last-minute cancellations create challenges, including reposting schedules & sometimes ask others to adjust their lesson times.
We allow two (2) cancellations per year without charge for a non-24-hour notice. If you're able to reschedule within the same week, we’ll do our best to accommodate you. However, the cancellation will still incur the non-24-hour notice charge, unless it falls within your two (2) annual grace cancellations.
If we get too many Non-24 hour cancellations we will be forced to relook at this policy & switch to pre-paid lessons.
***CANCELLATION POLICY***
1. TO CANCEL A LESSON - Text our Lesson Cancellation Number
1(657)234-4873 "1(657)FIGURE" NO other method can be honored!

3. If you cancel within 24 hours of your lesson and have already used your two (2) grace cancellations for the year, you will be responsible for payment. While rescheduling within the same week may be possible if there are openings, it does not replace the charge for a non-24-hour cancellation.

Starting out LESSONS- I will send you a invite to the lesson page where we set times for lessons or I will need your email address if not on FB. I post lessons on the lesson page/email normally the night before.. The times may change on your day but they will be within the time frame you set. Once you start lessons, I will continue to post your lessons that same day next week till notified otherwise.
SHOES –Shoes with a heel are recommended for safety. Aggressive tread on shoes is not recommended, the purpose is to slip out of stirrup if needed and the heel on the shoe is to prevent the foot going all the way through the stirrup and getting hung up. Wear warm “winter boots” in winter, they are safe as they can easily slip off.
BOOT BOX - We have a boot exchange, if you need boots, please feel free to pick through the box!!! When you outgrow your boots, we encourage you to place them in the boot box for others. Boot box is on shelf by English pads. Please consider donating to the boot box or feel free to put a name and price on them so we can do our best to reimburse you. If you take a boot with a price tag on it, please put the tag & the amount requested into the cash box so we can give the amount to who owned prior. This box gets used and is appreciated!!!!
PORTA POTTY - Between the two trees to the right of the barn enterence. The Light will come on when door opens. In Winter, please turn off heater before exit.
VIEWING AREA -We have a sitting area to watch, PLEASE DO NOT stay in isle where horses are for safety reasons… I know we allowed this in the past however our insurance is getting more particular. We ask everyone to PLEASE stay inside the sitting area. ***Please be aware if someone new is coming to watch, YOU are responsible to have them fill out a release before they enter the barn.
HELMETS - You’re welcome to use our helmets for a month or so. For hygiene reasons, we encourage you to purchase a certified helmet when you know your rider is going to continue lessons.
CASH BOX -To deposit lesson money- the box is attached on wood jacket locker next to desk. Checks do not need an envelope but PLEASE have the RIDERS NAME IN THE MEMO EVERY TIME. PLEASE write the check out to ‘Ellie Jensen”. The riders name in memo helps bookkeeping !! Only cash needs to be in an envelope - BUT PLEASE WRITE ON ENVELOPE - Date and name.
RESPONSIBILITY - Please clean up after your horse! Poop must be picked up after your lesson, in the arena, stall or outside. No turds left behind- NOT kidding.. all turds matter. When you untack… PLEASE, put saddle/bridle/pad back in proper place - (each western saddle has a number - each english saddle has a letter) AND cover the saddles!!!! – Parents please help with reminding.
ARRIVAL - Please plan to come 15-20 minutes early to catch & tack up your horse so you’re on time for your whole lesson. If you have not learned our saddle and bridling techniques, we will show you, then let you practice in front of us until you are comfortable. This includes with catching your horse; you will watch and practice before you’re on your own.
LOST & FOUND - We have a lost & found box: on the middle shelf buy English pads. Not claimed in a month- we will use or donate.
TO REACH ELLIE - TEXT me at 920-819-7061, it is the BEST & fastest way to contact me. If I don't respond within 10-15 minutes, and it's important, CALL ME!
WINTER -Heating season charges: $5.00 extra per lesson. We will notify by posting on the group lesson page when heating season starts and stops. Dress warm. We will keep heat around 45 degrees.
