‘It seems you only get one life, and when you come to terms with that, then you live life to the full, just like (Name).

A (woman/man) who was proud of their heritage, dedicated to their family, and loved their children. They sacrificed so much, so that others wouldn't have to, a (woman/man) that people looked up to and respected.

A (wife/husband) that made her (husband/wife) proud, the (mother/father) that other (mothers/fathers) admired, a (mum/dad) to children that adored (her/him), and a friend whenever you needed one. (Name), you will be missed but never forgotten.

When I die

When I die, give what’s left of me away to children and old men that wait to die. And if you need to cry, cry for your brother or sister walking the street beside you. And when you need me, put your arms around anyone, and give them what you need to give to me.

I want to leave you something, something better than words or sounds, look for me in the people I’ve known or loved, and if you cannot give me away, at least let me live on in your eyes, and not your mind.

You can love me most by letting hands touch hands, by letting bodies touch bodies, and by letting go of children that need to be free.

Love doesn’t die, people do. So, when all that’s left of me is love, Give me away.

Gone But Not Forgotten

Like the touch of rain, she/he was on my flesh and hair and eyes
When the joy of walking hand in hand, has been taken and replaced by sighs

With the love of the storm she/he burns, she/he sings, she/he laughs, well I know how, but forgets when she/he returns, as I shall not forget her/him it's time to 'Go Now’.

Those two words shut a door between me and the blessed rain, that was never shut before and will not open again.

Remember me when it rains, look up to heavens high, but do not shed a tear, for it is my tears that fill the sky. I wish I could be there forever, holding hands with you in the storm, I am in your heart and in your thoughts to keep you forever warm.
