The Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaiʻi (JCCH) was incorporated in 1987 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation with a goal to perpetuate the Japanese cultural heritage, educate future generations on the Japanese American experience in Hawai‘i and foster understanding among Japanese in Hawaiʻi, U.S. and Japan.

The JCCH Scholarship Program is supported by the Sekiya of Fukuoka/Hawaiʻi Endowment Fund. The scholarship will award $2,500 each year.
