WHAT IS THE ARTIST REQUIRED TO DO?
- Take one of the two "Artist Toolbox 101" classes. It will be offered on Saturday, December 7, 10a-1p and Tuesday, December 10, 1-4pm. This class will discuss preparing artwork for display, self-promotion, pricing and more. In order to be considered for selection, you MUST be able to attend one of these. It is free of cost for our selected Feature Artists. This class includes a free headshot photo for our use and yours.
- You must be able to attend at least three out of the five scheduled Opening Receptions. Current dates (subject to change) are February 6, April 3, June 5, August 7, and October 2 all 4-7pm. All artists - studio and feature - will be asked to contribute food/drink items for the receptions.
- You must be able to volunteer in the gallery one time a month on the days we are open to the public (Thursday - Saturday, 10am - 3pm). Your day should be scheduled in advance. More frequent volunteering is welcome and appreciated, but not required. It is to your advantage to be present in the gallery - you are your own best advocate and sales person! And people enjoy meeting the artists.
- You must promote Creative Liberties on your website or social media at least 1 time per week. We will talk about social media and websites in Artist Toolbox 101.
- Make sure that all artwork is in good condition and properly prepared for hanging - either with d-rings or with a tautly pulled wire. 3D artists must provide their own display (pedestal, table, etc) that will be approved by CL.
- Artwork displayed must be 50% original, not giclee, etc. If you would like to sell prints of your work, it may be possible to have a print rack (provided by the artist) but it must be approved by CL.
