Student Government Board Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee Grant
Goal: The purpose of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee’s grant is to promote events that further the diversity, equity, and inclusion within student organizations and improve campus climate. The grant helps lift financial burdens a student organization may bear when planning their programs, motivating them to focus on program quality and efficacy. We encourage collaboration between student organizations, however, it is acceptable that you hold an event mainly geared toward your organization. Grant: Student organizations are permitted to request up to $500 for their event during the School Year. Any amount exceeding $500 will be handled on a case-by-case basis. An itemized list will need to be provided on the form so organizations can fill in items they wish to allocate funds for. Interviews will be handled on a case-by-case basis. SGB and SORC cannot reimburse for donations or the purchase of gift cards. **If you collaborate with another another organization, SORC will deposit money into only ONE of the organizations' account. It is up to the student organizations involved to designate ONE organization as the primary contact and that organization will receive the funds. It will take a significant time for your organization to receive the funds, so we ask that you apply well before the event occurs.
