Polaris Productions Cabaret Application Form

    Cabaret Registration

    That's Amore!

Singers!  Join us for our latest cabaret on Sunday, May 3rd.  We're calling it "That's Amore" and it features songs which you love that are about love. Happy or tragic.  The only requirement is that they should be songs you love, which are about love in some way.

We're looking for a balanced mix of uptempo songs and ballads.

We are a youth theater company but we have no particular age restriction when it comes to our cabarets.  If you feel like this is the thing you need to do, feel free to apply.  And if you're a Polaris musical theater alumni -- regardless of age -- we'd love to hear from you.

There is a $200 fee to participate in the workshop, which ends in a performance at the Laurie Beechman Theater.

We don't require an audition but if we haven't heard you sing before, we do ask for a video sample of your singing.  You can attach one to this form later.

As this is a cabaret workshop, there are two one-hour Zoom meetings on consecutive Sundays, an in-person rehearsal, and a final rehearsal just before the performance at the theatre.

The Zooms are important - they will help us create a show that's memorable and fun.

    Zoom Meeting #1: Sunday 4/12 from 7 - 8 pm
    Zoom Meeting #2: Sunday 4/19 from 7 - 8 pm
    In-Person Rehearsal #1: Sunday 4/26  from 2 - 4 pm (Sunlight Studios)
    In-Person Rehearsal #2: Sunday 5/3 from 2 - 4 pm (Sunlight Studios)
Sound Check: Sunday 5/3 from 4:15 - 5 pm (Laurie Beechman Theatre)
Doors Open to Guests:  Sunday 5/3 at 5 pm
Showtime: Sunday, 5/3 at 6 pm

    Sunlight Studios is at 321 W. 44th Street, #202.

Laurie Beechman Theatre is downstairs at the West Bank Cafe, 407 W. 42nd Street.

Our show will be 60 to 75 minutes long, and each singer will have the opportunity to present at least two songs.

To participate in the workshop, a fee of $200 is required.  We will send you an e-invoice after you've registered.

Please note that we have limited spaces available – no more than 12 singers!

    About the Laurie Beechman

The Laurie Beechman is a warm and welcoming dinner theater venue where we've hosted many successful cabarets in the past.  Many, many well-known Broadway and cabaret professionals have performed there over the years.  Most recently the Laurie Beechman hosted the musical Hamilton's 10th Anniversary celebration!

The West Bank Cafe and the theater are under new ownership and the theater has been beautifully redesigned.

Guests will be charged a $20 cover (plus a $5 ticketing service fee) and the venue requires guests to spend a minimum of $25 on food and drinks.  In total, guests should be prepared to spend at least $50 on this event.

The West Bank Café, located upstairs, will prepare the food, and the menu is the same for the café and the theatre.

Doors will open for audience seating at 5:00 pm, and the show will begin at 6:00 pm. We are looking forward to having a great time with all of you!
