II. PERSONAL LIFE
A. Not involved in:
1. Smoking
2. Alcohol abuse (intoxication)
3. Use of illegal drugs
4. Sexual relationship outside of marriage
5. Criminal charges pending
6. Use of profane language
7. Occult involvement
8. Any other unbiblical behavior
III. ATTITUDE (Be loyal to pastor and ministry of LWCC)
A. A spirit of cooperation with the pastor and leadership of the church
B. Submission to the pastor and leadership of the church
C. Dedication to the vision of the church
IV. COMMITMENT
A. A member or in the process of becoming a member
B. Regular attendance at church services (must attend one full-service weekly)
C. Prayerful intercession for the ministry and leadership
D. Financial support in the form of tithes and offerings
E. Attendance at all Ministry of Helps meetings, training sessions, etc.
F. Be faithful to your ministry (at least three days notice if you can’t be there) G.Be ready to minister at your job 20-30 minutes before you begin ministering
V. APPEARANCE
The dress code for men and women serving in the ministry is meticulously (carefully) outlined. It is expected that your appearance will reflect on you and LWCC. Please keep in mind that you represent the Lord, the church and our pastor no matter where you are within the church building. Whenever you are at the church, neat, clean and modest are the key words.
SUNDAYS' DRESS CODE FOR WOMEN*:
A. Dresses or Skirts: Women are required to wear a modest dress or skirt (no shorter than knee length and nothing tight fitting).
B. Footware: Women may wear opened toed shoes (Flip flops or sneakers are not permitted)
C. Blouses: long or short-sleeved tops are preferred
D. Hair: Hair must be neat, clean, and well-kept
SUNDAYS’ DRESS CODE FOR MEN*:
A. Slacks: Dress slacks with sport jacket or suit
B. Shirts: Dress Shirt
C. Ties: Ties are required
D. Footwear: Dressshoes
*NOTE: These dress codes are for those people that are serving in some ministry capacity on a Sunday. However, there are exceptions to these guidelines depending on which ministry you are serving in. Please see your ministry leader for details. Keep in mind, we do expect everyone, at all times, to be properly dressed--please use discretion.
SUNDAYS’ DRESS CODE FOR NURSERY & CHILDRENS’ WORKERS:
Sunday dress code is “Business Casual”, such as dress slacks and blouse with shoes, not sneakers.
THURSDAY (First Thursday of Each Month): Casual Attire
The following is a list of what is okay for men to wear:
Jeans (No stress jeans, no sweatpants or shorts)
Polo Shirts or opened collar shirts (round collar t-shirts are not permitted)
Casual shoes (sneakers and sandals are not permitted)
NOTE: Men are not required to wear a jacket.
The following is a list of what is okay for women to wear:
Jeans or pants of any color (no stress/cut-up jeans). This does not include shorts or short skirts
Skinny pants and jeans are permitted but ONLY IF it is paired with a Tunic length top.
Casual tops (no plunging neckline tops, halter tops, tank tops, cropped tops, or spaghetti strapped tops).
Woman may wear sandals (sneakers and flip flops are not permitted)
Here’s a diagnostic for both guys and gals: Raise your hands and touch your toes; if anything shows, go change your clothes!
