A part of a volunteers role is to be able to respond in the event of an emergency, which may be medical or which may well result in needing to support the evacuation of a venue. As a volunteer at Burnley Leisure & Culture you agree you are volunteering your time to support Burnley Leisure & Culture's venues and activities. You are not an employee of Burnley Leisure & Culture therefore not entitled to wages or payment for work. As a volunteer you may be entitled to Volunteer Expenses to cover transport too and from a venue and refreshments and food whilst on shift.
