    • Heater Install Request
    • We install Eberspächer (Espar) Airtronic and Webasto diesel and gas heaters in Sprinters, Transits and ProMasters. These are basically small combustion chambers that use the fuel from your vehicle to create a flame and 12v power to push air across the outside of that chamber to heat it up and provide your van with some cozy temps. The heaters are controlled with Espar’s EasyStart Pro controller or a Webasto SmarTemp controller which operates like a simple thermostat that you can set to run for a certain amount of time.

    • Heater Service Request
    • Let VLC inspect and service your Espar or Webasto heater!

Over time fuel fired air heaters build up carbon soot inside the burner chamber and may produce more soot when using the heater at higher altitudes (about 6500ft and above). It is recommended that you get your heater serviced at least once a year or after 2000hrs of use, whichever comes first (just like an oil change in your car).

We offer multiple levels of cleaning and service.

Diagnostics are charged based on the time it takes at our current hourly rate.

To learn more about these heaters please visit our Heaters FAQ page.

    • Vent Fans
    • A vent fan is a great addition to any van. We install Airxcel's Maxxfans. Our most popular model, and the one that we currently stock, is the Maxxfan Deluxe with a smoke lid and white interior shroud. This model comes with a built in rain shield and allows you to use it while driving. It also has a removable insect screen and an optional remote control. Other models and colors are available upon request.

Maxxfans require a 12v system to run off of. We will need to know what auxiliary battery system you have in your van to ensure you will be able to run the fan.

To Install the vent fan we will need the installation location exposed on the interior. If you have a factory headliner with no cabinetry or accessories installed over it, we can complete the install for an added $270. We do not blindly cut into ceilings and we do not currently disassemble ceilings or cabinets that we did not install ourselves.

    • Window Install
    • We sell and install windows from C.R.Laurence and AM Auto to meet your needs. We offer vented sliding windows with screens, 10x33 slider and awning windows (often referred to bunk windows), along with fixed glass options. Some windows are screw-in, can be installed in half a day and driven the same day. Others are glue-in and require 24 hours for the glue to set before we can water test the window and you can drive the vehicle.

To install windows, we will need the metal van wall exposed exposed on the interior at the install loction. We do not blindly cut through wall panels or remove and modify panels that we did not install ourself.

Already have a window, but want to replace it? We can help!

    • Choosing your Window Style:

Half Vented Slider - This is the most popular option. It slides open and comes with a bug screen, while on the outside it maintains that OEM look by fitting perfectly to the vehicle body lines.

T-Vent* - This is the best option if you find yourself in rainy weather often and still need to be able to allow for a small amount of ventilation.

      * This window is not recommended for the sliding door due to it has weak security. If you have any ladders or exterior comonents on the side of your van the operation of this window could be hindered.

Solid glass - Let in the light, enjoy the views. This is a non-operational option.

10x33 or Bunk Style - We offer an awning style window, like the ones seen in this van, which opens from the bottom with a crank and therefore can be opened in the rain, but should not be left open while driving. Or, we have a slider window which slides open halfway and can be left open while driving but would not be protected in inclement weather.

    • Interior Accessories
    • Seating
    • The seating in your van needs to serve many purposes, a safe place to sit while driving, living room seating, dining chairs, and sometimes even a bed!

Your front seats are a great place to start. Adding swivels to the base means you can turn them around to face the living space of your van when you're at camp. This can drastically improve the feel and use of the space.

Need seating for more people? We install 2-person fold-up bench seats. The seat comes with a 3 point safety belt, child seat hooks and an armrest. We can install one on the driverside, as seen in our Mountain View Van, or on the passenger side, like in our Pops Van. Our standard install location on the driver side about 26" behind the driver seat pedestal. Custom locations will require added labor.

The recommended time to have your folding bench seat installed is after the floor and wall panels are installed, but before any cabinetry is in place. The seat needs to installed directly to the metal van floor, but if you bring us the van with the floor already in, we will cut the needed hole and finish it off with l-angle aluminum, as seen in the photo below. It is cheaper to bring us the van with no flooring at all for this install.

    • Electrical Component Install
    • Electrical Diagnostic
    • Electrical system issues can be extremely frustrating, confusing, and hard to diagnose, especially if you are unsure of what you are looking at. We are happy to take a look, diagnose it, and give you an estimate of what it will look like to fix the problem.

Electrical diagnostics can sometimes vary quite a bit so we charge by the hour for the time that it takes to work out what the issue is. Most electrical diagnostics take 4-5 hours. Our hourly rate is $175. Depending on the problem, you may need to schedule a second appointment to actually have us fix your system. This could be because of the size of the problem or the availability of parts to repair it.

    • Exterior Accessories
    • From front bumpers, to roof racks to rear door carriers, there are tons of accessories you can add to the exterior of your van to not only give your van the look you want, but also expand storage and protect your vehicle.

Here are some of the most common brands that we work with:

Owl Vans  Aluminess CA Tuned Off Road AVC Rig
Baja Designs Lights Front Runner Fiamma Flatline Van Co
Rigid Industies Packasport Amp Power Steps Curt Trailer hitches
      Kuat Rigwell Rocky mounts 1up
      Weather Tech MaxTrax
    • Wheel and Tire Upgrade
    • The stock rims and tires that come on Sprinters, Transits, and Promasters often just don’t cut it for what you are going to need on your adventures. Upgrading your tires is a great way to provide your van with better off-road handling and an overall better look. Alloy rims are stronger and lighter and with many styles to choose from are a great way to personalize your van.

You can find your OEM recommended tire size on the sticker in your driver door jam. Just using the recommended specs and upgrading to a good all terrain tire is a good place to start. Here are some great all-terrain tire options to choose from:

      • Cooper Tire Discoverer-AT3
      • Toyo Tires Open Country-AT3
      • BFGoodrich KO2

Upgrading to a larger tire size can offer your van more traction and sometimes more ground clearance too. Sometimes to be able to upgrade to a larger tire it is best to size up on your rim as well to not have such a tall side wall and make the van more stable on the road.

    • Winterization
    • Starts at $175

      This includes:

      • Emptying your fresh water tank and blowing out the lines.
      • Emptying grey water tank
      • Inspecting and ensuring your batteries are fully charged. * If you are putting your van in storage we recommend disconnecting the batteries.
      • Inspecting roof seals

*Additional charges for hot water systems.

VLC does not service black tanks or cassette toilet systems. We ask that you bring your van to us with these emptied.

    • VLC 24-point Campervan Inspection - $110
    • Whether you are buying, selling, getting ready for a big trip or just maintaining your campervan, there are a lot of things look out for and without the knowledge it's easy to overlook issues that could cause bigger problems down the road. So bring your van to us and we will inspect it for you, using our 24-point inspection list! This inspection includes but is not limited to checking electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and safety. Professional or DIY built, we are here to help.

This does not include any repairs. We will only perform this on Mercedes Sprinters, Ford Transits, and Ram ProMasters at this time.

    • Suspension Upgrades
    • To ensure the correct shock tune or spring rate is selected for your van's upgraded suspension, we will need the gross, front axel and rear axel weights. It is recommended that these weights are taken after your van is fully converted. If taken before, you can estimate by calulating about how much all the materials and components you plan on putting in the van weigh.

    • We will need your van's weights in order to move past the estimating stage. In order to determine these weights, you’ll need to visit a truck weigh station or a local commercial landscaping supply center. It does not need to be a certified weight. If you have a CAT scales near you, that is a great place to have this completed and it normally only costs about $12! We can still get you an estimate in the meantime though.

  • Tell us about your van

The more you tell us the better.
  • Tell us about your Winnebago

  • Tell us about your Storyteller

  • So you have something a little different? Tell us about it!

Though we love all adventure vehicles equally, we don't currently work on vehicles other than the Ford Transit, Ram ProMaster and Mercedes Sprinter high roof vans. You are still welcome to tell us what vehicle you have and what you are looking for, and our team will look it over and let you know if we can help or maybe know someone that can.

  • Upload Photos of your van currently:

Every van looks a little different, so we need photos of your van. In particular, we will need photos of any spaces that you are asking us to work in. This means if you would like us to install electrical components, we need photos of your electrical area or if you would like a roof rack, we will need photos of your roof. We appreciate your understanding.
