    Approximate Hours: 20 -30 hrs/week

    Schedule: Part-time including some holidays and private events

  • THE ROLE

    The Coterie Concept is an innovative retail boutique that specializes in providing high-quality wine and fine champagne where visitors will have an opportunity to experience the ultimate “Sip and Shop” during our revolving pop-up market. At The Coterie Concept we believe in building meaningful relationships with the small businesses that we support, pride ourselves with empowering and respecting all people at all times and are passionate about our expansive wine and champagne selection. Our Wine Concierges are responsible for providing world class customer service to guests of the The Coterie Concept. An effective Wine Concierges will facilitate a warm, friendly, professional atmosphere while helping each guest become familiar with current wine and champagne selections and will apply their knowledge of wines to deliver a one-of-a-kind experience for guests. In addition, Wine Concierges will provide general support and assistance to the leadership and company. This is a great opportunity to be a part of an enthusiastic team that is working to build the success of this exciting multi-concept bar.

  • QUALIFICATIONS

    • Previous bartending experience required with a minimum of 6 months of related wine experience in a fine dining/upscale food and beverage setting.
    • Alcoholic Beverage Service Certified is preferred
    • Experience with restaurant POS system is a plus
    • Must be at least 21 years of age 
    • Eligible to work in the United States
    • Must have reliable transportation
    • Willing to learn new and exciting things with a knack for customer service
    • Energetic, accountable and team oriented with a commitment to being reliable, dependable and responsible
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment with a positive attitude
  • PRIMARY  RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Possess or have the aptitude to develop a solid knowledge of wine with an ability to engage customers while sharing that knowledge
    • Coordinate table service for guests with prompt service and gracious hospitality while adhering to The Coterie Concept service standards.
    • Quickly learn and apply correct wine service techniques.
    • Serve wine and wine inspired cocktails to bar patrons that are consistent with The Coterie Concept standard drink recipes 
    • Work efficiently when the wine bar is busy yet also be comfortable working independently on slower traffic days.
    • Create a unique and engaging tasting experience for guest's by providing top notch service for wine flights, wine by the glass and bottle sales based based on their preference.
    • Be competent with restaurant style POS and handling cash to efficiently complete wine sales transactions.
    • Be aware of safety issues and maintain a working knowledge of legal implications related to serving
    • Restock and replenish bar inventory/supplies, clean and sanitize the bar area, polish glassware and remove soiled dishes, trash and glassware from the floor.

  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Exposure to typical bar environment conditions and noise levels.
    • Occasional heavy lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs with assistance of team member or cart/dolly.
    • Bending, rotating and reaching when cleaning, pricing, receiving and stocking merchandise.
    • Constant standing/walking with some stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, or lifting
