TUITION POLICY
- Effective September 1, 2021 CashApp and PayPal will no longer be a payment option
- Tuition is due on the 7th
- A $35 late fee is automatically added on the 14TH
- Online payments can be made through your Student Portal via My MusicStaff.
- Other method of payments: Cash (exact change please) and Check (made payable to B Major Piano Studio)
- Monthly payments cover the amount of lessons for September 2022 to December 2022 (8 or 12 weeks)
- Tuition rates are the same amount each month
- Tuition is prorated if student starts later in the semester
- Tuition covers SKILLZ (aka master class) held once a semester
- Lesson Books and Song Books are not included in tuition and will be billed as needed.
- Receive a Sibling Savings of 15% off your total tuition
MAKE UP LESSON
- Students are allowed 1 makeup lesson per semester (Fall, Spring, andSummer).
- Registration for Makeup lessons are done through the Student Portal
- Makeup lessons will vary each semester (i.e. group or individual lessons, inperson or virtually
STUDENT CANCELLATION
- Please notify the teacher at least 3-48 hours prior to the student’s lesson if you need to cancel
- Lessons can be cancelled via My Music Staff through your Student portal.
- Refunds are not given for cancelled lessons
- Families with 4 missed lessons without giving the teacher appropriate notification will be reconsidered for the following semester.
- Appropriate notification is considered cancelling at least 3 hours prior to lesson time.
- Virtual lessons can be a possibility in place of in-person if notice is given 3 hours prior to your student's lesson time.
TEACHER CANCELLATION
- If the teacher must cancel a lesson, that lesson will be credited in the following month’s tuition.
TIMELINESS
- If the student arrives late, their lesson will be shorter.
- Please notify the instructor if you’re running behind. We strive to start andend our lessons on time.
- If the instructor is running behind, please expect a text message or call.
- Your child will receive their full lesson time if the instructor is late.
EMERGENCIES
- In the event of an emergency, if a parent/guardian can not be reached, you agree that the teacher will be permitted to exercise discretion in providing care and treatment for your child. In the case of a serious injury, EMS will be called. The teacher will not be held liable for any such care and treatment decisions.
- Please notify the studio of any allergies or disabilities that your child may have and that the studio should be aware of.
PHOTOS, VIDEOS, AND SOCIAL MEDIA
- Pictures and videos of your child participating in various activities will be used on social media and the studio’s website. The student’s first name only will be used.
- If you do not wish for your child to appear on social media or for your child’s name to be mentioned, please notify us.
PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES
- Students are encouraged to thrive in their home, community, and on the stage! Families will be notified of performance opportunities, recital fees (if applicable), and other details.
PREPAREDNESS
- Students will be given a binder to help keep their music and assignment sheets organized. They are asked to bring it to every lesson! Skills start with Preparedness.
PRACTICE
- It takes two to win! Your child’s progress is based on their performance in the studio and at home.
- Practice makes progress.
- The instructor will give details on how to practice at home for the student and parent to read over.
- Audio examples will be emailed as needed.
- Students should make it a goal to practice the piano at least 3-5 times a week.
PARENT-TEACHER COMMUNICATION
- In the event the instructor feels like your child needs to take a different route (i.e. switch to another program within the studio or switch instructors), the parent will be notified. We only want to see every student win at B Major. Help us, help your child. #VillageStrong
PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT
- Please let us know if you have any ideas on how to improve the experience at B Major. Every year, we learn something new to add more value to what we offer.
- Parents are free to help with field trips, studio parties, recitals, etc.
