To ensure the safety and comfort of all students on the bus, it is essential to follow a set of guidelines. We kindly request that you take a proactive approach and discuss these rules with your children:
1. Timely Arrival: Please ensure your child is ready at least five minutes before the designated pickup time each morning.
2. Boarding and Exiting: Enter and leave the bus in an orderly manner, refraining from pushing or shoving.
3. Derech Eretz: Students must speak respectfully to the bus driver and follow their instructions.
4. Assigned Seating: If the bus driver or a Cheder staff member assigns seats, it is imperative to sit in the designated place.
5. Safety: Students must keep their entire bodies (e.g. head, arms, and hands) inside the bus at all times.
6. Ahavas Yisroel: Treating fellow students with respect is of utmost importance. This includes refraining from being physical, touching others' belongings, using inappropriate language, or speaking disrespectfully.
7. Volume Control: Students should maintain a low volume while conversing—avoid yelling or screaming on the bus.
8. Cleanliness: Keep the bus clean by refraining from throwing items around and properly disposing of trash.
9. Something to Do: Encourage your child to bring along activities like books or music that are appropriate for a Chossid to enjoy during the ride. Please note that students may not carry devices that can access the internet.
In case a student does not adhere to any of these rules, they will be suspended from riding the bus for a period of three days. A repeated violation will result in the student being barred from using the bus for the rest of the school year. If the bus driver reports any incidents of disrespect or disruption, the report will need to be signed by a parent before the child can continue riding the bus.
Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and respectful environment for all students during the bus ride.
