Addendum C: Pastoral Care
During Year 1 of Provisional Membership the District Superintendent will meet with the provisional elder appointed to a local church and evaluate the provisional in the areas of pastoral care and visitation ministries. The historic questions asked as ordination: "Will you visit from house to house?" provided a framework for this evaluation.

1. Share about the provisional's pastoral care plan. Have they attempted to visit the homes of members and constituents in the congregation? Do they visit those in nursing homes and the homebound? Do they understand the need for this?
