Nominees for 2023 Citizen of the Year will be recognised at an Awards Ceremony to be held on Wednesday 18 January at the Meeniyan Hall.

The achievements of each nominee will be also be featured in local newspapers, on Council's Facebook page and online. The names of the overall winner in each categroy will also be inscribed on the Australia Day Honour Board in Memorial Hall.

Please note that posthumous nominations are not eligible.

Listing information in dot points is sufficient. Don't overlook asking your nominee for their community resume and assistance for accuracy on items such as dates.

Please attach at least two letters of support which complement the nomination. Letters of support can be from an individual, or an office bearer writing on behalf of a group. Please note that South Gippsland Shire Council staff or Councillors cannot be referees.

Please attach a minimum of two high resolution images of your nominee (including a portrait). It is important that these images are high quality as they will be used in the local papers.
