• Report Beech Trees/Beech Leaf Disease

    On July 5, 2022, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) confirmed the presence of Beech leaf disease in southern St. Clair County. This is the first confirmed case of Beech leaf disease in Michigan. We are asking for your help collecting information on beech tree locations across the county. These reports will help our staff monitor the spread of the disease. Beech Leaf Disease can occur in a single beech tree in a yard, or in a small or large wooded area. Beech tree surveys will be used to improve our understanding of the disease and how it spreads. Thank you for helping protect St. Clair County’s natural resources!
