General Information - (Limited Entry Trial) This is a Canadian Association of Rally obedience (CARO) sanctioned trial that will be held under CARO rules and regulations. Note: An officiating Judge, and/or the Chairperson of the trial, may dismiss from the trial site any person subjecting the Judge or members or the organizing committee to abuse, whether that person is competing in the trial or not, also the K9 Sports Centre Trials Organizing Committee reserves the right to refuse any entry. There shall be no refunds for acts of God, inclement weather, missed runs, entries withdrawn after the closing date, if a dog and/or handler are dismissed from competition, regardless of the reason for such dismissal, or in the event the dog is absent on the day of the trial. However, refunds will be given to a competitor whose bitch comes into season or whose dog is injured, provided that the K9 Sports Centre at k9sportscentre@gmail.com is informed at least 3 days prior to the trial date and a certificate from a veterinarian is provided at that time, if required. It is the K9 Sports Centre's policy to provide, on a case-by-case basis, either refund of monies or credits to be used at a future trial based on a decision by the Board of Directors, however, an administrative fee of $10 may be retained on refunded entries.

Facilities: The trial will be held at the K9 Sports Centre located at 396 Flora street in Carleton Place. Bring your own seating, drinking water and dog crates. Please be advised we have limited space for indoor crating.  For those who wish to crate their dogs in their cars, there is ample parking available. Please use the grassy area to toilet your dog. There will be no food vendor; you must bring your own lunch.

Dog Aggression: All dogs must be kept in an X-pen, crate, in your car, or on leash when not in the ring (this includes the grounds and parking lot In order to avoid incidents of dog aggression towards other dogs and/or people, please give all dogs lots of room and be aware of your dog's behavior at all times. Any dog engaging in aggressive behaviour at any time will be required to leave the grounds. In such cases, NO refunds will be issued.

Ring Etiquette: If you are not entered in a specific event, you are NOT permitted in the ring during the walk-through. If you are entered in an event and you are coaching others (or being coached by others), please show consideration for the rest of the competitors by doing your coaching OUTSIDE the ring and do not block other competitors, or hold strategy discussions in the ring during the walkthrough. Thank you for showing respect for all competitors.

Awards (please advise the Scorekeeper if your dog achieves a Title or Award of Merit at the Trial) A titles sheet will be available near the score keepers; please fill it in if you think you

Qualifying Ribbons for all events. Title Rosette for any dog achieving an CARO title at the trial.

Event Participation Waiver and Release Entries must be accompanied by a signed waiver for each dog entered before your dog will be allowed to compete in the CARO trial.

I CERTIFY that I am the actual owner of the dog, or immediate family member (as defined in the Canadian Association of Rally Obedience (CARO) Eligibility Rules), of the dog entered herein. In Official consideration of the acceptance of this entry. I (we) have read, understand and will abide by the Rules & Regulations of CARO in effect at the time of this entry, and by any additional rules and regulations appearing in the Rally-Obedience Trial Schedule for this event. I (we) certify and represent that the dog entered is not a hazard to persons or other dogs. This entry is submitted for acceptance on the foregoing representation and General Agreement/Disclaimer. I (we) agree to conduct myself (ourselves) in accordance with such Official Rules and Regulations (including all provisions applying to discipline) and to abide by any decisions made in accordance with them. I understand and acknowledge that participation in the Event carries certain risks, including, but not limited to injuries (including serious injuries and death) to myself, the Dog. another dog under my control or persons attending as my guests (my "Related Parties" damage to property and other losses. I waive any and all claims that I have or may have in the future against, and release from all liability and agree not to sue the Organizing Club or any of the directors, executives, committees, representatives, employees, volunteers or agents of the Organizing Club (the "Personnel") for any injury. death, property damage or other loss that I or my Related Parties sustain due to any cause whatsoever, including negligence, breach of contract, breach of duty. statutory or otherwise. or mistakes or errors of judgment of any kind. I assume full responsibility for the conduct of myself and my Related Parties during the entirety of the Event. I agree to indemnify and save harmless the Organizing Club and the Personnel from and against any and all claims that may be made against them or costs, fees, expenses or liability (including. without limitation, lawyers' fees on a solicitor and own client basis) incurred by the Organizing Club or the Personnel that may arise due to: any act or omission of myself, my Related Parties or any party for whom I am liable at law; or aggressive behaviour by the Dog or any other dog under my control. I have been given the opportunity to read and understand the terms of this Agreement before signing it, and have in fact done so. I understand that by signing this Agreement, I am restricting my legal rights and I sign this Agreement voluntarily and of my own free will.
