2023 YPB Committee & Committee Chair Descriptions:
Executive Committee: This includes the Chair, Past Chair, and three additional members: Vice Chair, Secretary, and Governance Committee Chair. They develop the YP Board's annual goals, support overall strategy and execution, and lead monthly general meetings. Members are eligible to serve on the Executive Committee or as Committee Chairs after their first year of service.
- Chair: serves as lead representative and decision-maker for the YPB during the term; coordinates closely with CWCC staff to deliver value and impact to the chamber community.
- Vice Chair: Supports the Chair's leadership function and serves as Acting Chair in case of absence; advances into the Chair role during the following term; oversees one YPB committee to be determined each term. (3-year commitment: Vice Chair, Chair, Past Chair).
- Secretary: Leads YPB deliverable management and reporting including KPI and Give/Get tracking, calendars, general meeting minutes, etc.; oversees one YPB committee to be determined each term. (1-year commitment)
- Past Chair: Chair of YPB from the previous term; supports the Executive Committee and broader YPB with historical knowledge and other roles as assigned; oversees one YPB committee to be determined each term.

Governance Committee: Supports the YP board infrastructure and assists with membership development. Responsibilities include updating YPB onboarding packets, conducting board surveys, leading annual board diversity analysis, and developing/refining the new member interview process.
- Governance Committee Chair: Oversees the Governance Committee and works directly with the YPB Executive Committee to maintain board structure, policies and procedures, and advise on future membership development and board diversity. The Governance Chair leads Governance Committee meetings and serves on the Executive Committee.
Programming Committee: Responsible for organizing quarterly YP programming/events hosted by the CWCC (identifying event topics and content, confirming speakers, coordinating event logistics, collaborating with Marketing and Communications Committee to develop promotional materials, etc.)
- Programming Committee Chair: will serve as the main driver of planning and execution of quarterly CWCC YP programming. The Programming Chair will work with the CWCC to find sponsorships, speakers, partner organizations, and any other logistics requested for YP programming. The Programming Committee Chair will also serve as the point person and lead the Events Committee meetings.
Marketing and Communications Committee: Responsible for planning and delivering YP quarterly event marketing materials in collaboration with the Programming Committee, as well as website content, including the YP blog, in collaboration with CWCC staff. This committee will also design and maintain the board membership directory for the term.
- Marketing and Communications Chair: Will oversee marketing and branding materials for the YPB, including the development of promotional materials for YPB quarterly events and website content (YP blog, YP feature articles, etc The Marketing and Communications Committee Chair will also serve as the point person and lead Committee meetings.
Membership and Growth Committee: Responsible for outreach and engagement efforts, including contacting new/prospective CWCC YP members and community partners. This Membership and Growth Committee also leads the board buddy program, planning and execution of the annual Open House, and two internal engagement events throughout the term.
- Membership and Growth Committee Chair: Will oversee outreach and follow up with new and potential young professionals interested in getting involved with CWCC. Outreach will include communicating YP opportunities and upcoming Chamber events, working closely alongside the CWCC staff. They will also lead the planning and execution of the board buddy program, two formal internal engagement opportunities (e.g. yoga classes, game nights, YPB social events, etc, and the annual YPB Open House. The Membership and Growth Committee Chair will also serve as the point person and lead the Committee meetings.
