About Our Inspiring Instructors
The Owner + Director of Yoga Loft Justin stepped onto the mat for the first time over 25 years ago and immediately felt that he had found his way home. Years of anxiety, depression, and feeling uncomfortable in his body he quickly experienced the transformation that the practice of yoga is capable of bringing to our lives. Justin is passionate about making the practice of yoga accessible to every BODY by offering soulful functional based practices that are influenced by his trainings and teachers.
Justin holds over 1900 advanced training hours in Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Hands on Assists, Ayurveda, Trauma Informed Yoga, Yoga for the Spine, and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Justin is an E-RYT 500 yoga teacher holding a 200 and 300 hour foundational certification from Three Sisters Yoga (NYC) and holds an additional 200 hour Katonah Yoga certification.
Justin has taught in some of the most prestigious yoga studios in the country and has taught yoga privately to politicians, celebrities, medical professionals, Google, and more. He is featured and contributes regularly on the global meditation app Insight Timer as well as a regular contributor to the global yoga app Yoga Wake Up. Justin regularly leads international yoga and wellness retreats (Iceland, Italy, Peru) and has led and been guest teacher in over a dozen 200 and 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Trainings.
With a heart for service Justin volunteered and taught yoga for three years at Rikers Prision in New York City, and taught meditation and yoga for Camp Erin (a bereavement camp for children and adults). In his spare time Justin enjoys live music, theater, hiking, and seeing the great National Parks of our country with his husband Greg. Justin holds Master's and Bachelor's Degrees in Voice and Theatre performance from Bowling Green State University. He has performed as an actor off-broadway, regionally, and in film and television.
