Please read carefully!
The compulsory conditions states that students must be committed during PADA term time (see our calendar on our website to see our term dates), we only ask for is 2hrs & 15mins a week. If a student misses a session, it doesn’t just affect that student, it’s effects the whole team.
All strikes last 12 months per strike at PADA.
If a student needs to be somewhere on the day of a Stage Team Session, please follow the 2 options in order.
Procedure is:
1st Option
Students could miss the required Acrobatic Arts or Body Conditioning Classes on occasions if really busy but please make sure students come for Stage Team Session, even if they arrive a little late or need to leave a bit early as PADA can work around doing the dances in a different order to support this as students are committed to the team.
2nd Option
If really needing the time off for 1 session, you must fill in the ‘Stage Team Absence Request Form Online’ which needs to be filled for approval in as much detail as possible minimum of 14 days or more prior to requested date. This doesn’t mean you will get approved as it must fall within our conditions, policies & overall student availability. If your request is not approved, then students are expected at Stage Team but if they don’t attend then a strike will be given.
Some reasons that Stage Team Absence Requests will be denied, but not limited to:
Parties, Birthdays, Sleepovers, Concerts/Festivals, Shows, Revision/School Homework, Tutoring, Tiredness, Family Gatherings, which are some of the reasons that we have had that is not going to be approved. Stage Team is a 2 hour & 15-minute session per week during the PADA Term Time and the reasons stated above can happen outside of the Stage Team Session.
Students cannot miss 2 consecutive weeks in a row unless it’s approved as a special circumstance by PADA.
PADA reserve the right to deny or revoke Stage Team Absence Requests at any time even if been approved previously for any reason.
IMPORTANT
Stage Team Strikes can also be given for other reasons, please refer to the Stage Team Agreement & Conditions Policy for support or for more information. All parents should have a hard copy of their signed agreement but a general copy of the Stage Team Agreement & Conditions is on the policies pages on our website.
