BAAC Intrinsic Space Application
Intrinsic Space Policy:
Within the Gallery on Main is an intrinsic space reserved for more functional, decorative, or craft based artworks. The visual arts committee will consider work appropriate for this venue. Items in this part of the gallery can be for sale from six months to a year at which point the artist will be asked to pick up, or provide return shipping for any unsold work. The gallery takes a 35% commission on all work sold from the intrinsic space.
All small 3d work including small sculptures, pottery, ceramics, jewelry, and woodworking is appropriate for this space. Display options for 3d work include pedestals and shelves that the gallery provides. 2d work appropriate for the intrinsic space includes prints and works on paper that should be sealed in plastic sleeves to be displayed on easels or bins and small-framed paintings that can fit on shelf displays. Size limitations for 3d work is no larger than 18” in any direction, 2d prints no larger than 18”x24”, and small framed works no larger than 11”x14”.
