I hereby apply as an entrant in an American Royal Beauties National Scholarship preliminary state event, during the 2024-2025 pageant season, and agree as follows:
1. I certify that I am of good moral character, and I have not at any time been involved in a behavior that is, or could be, perceived by American Royal Beauties as an act of moral turpitude. I have never, knowingly or unknowingly, engaged in any activity or employment that could be characterized as dishonest, immoral, indecent, or lewd. I certify that I have not been charged with minor or petty offenses in the last 24 months (excluding minor traffic violations). I have never been convicted of a felony criminal offense, and there are no criminal charges presently pending against me. INITIAL BELOW:*
2. I confirm that I have not been party to any activities that would be embarrassing to me or American Royal Beauties prior to this agreement. I also agree, that should I receive a title, if during my year of reign, I do engage in any such activities, including arrest and/or criminal charges, I shall notify the Executive and National Director immediately. The Directors have the right to revoke my title and all prizes/awards at their discretion. INITIAL BELOW:*
3. I agree that if I receive a state or local title from American Royal Beauties that I will participate in the National Competition held in summer 2026. Failure to compete at the national pageant will result in possible loss of title, including any prizes and awards. An automatic fee of $150 will be billed to your account once notice of intent “not to compete” has been received. If the notice of intent "not to compete" is received after May 31, 2026 OR the $150 fee is not paid by this deadline, the entire entry fee is due and payable immediately at www.ARBpageants.com/payments. No exceptions will be made for these fees, they cannot be waived under any circumstances. INITIAL BELOW:*
4. I hereby release, unconditionally and forever any claim against StarJewel Publishing LLC, DBA American Royal Beauties and/or their parent or affiliated companies and their respective officers, directors, partners, employees, contractors, agents, and assigns, which I may have by virtue of my participation in my local and/or state pageant or by any use of my name, likeness, voice and/or biography in connection with my local and/or state pageant, including use in promotional and advertising material. 5. I will not add any other logos, names, rhinestones, or other embellishments to my title sash, the exception being that I may add my first name to the back of my sash. All crowns have been examined for imperfections and missing stones prior to being awarded. I understand that the upkeep of my crown is my responsibility, and from time to time that the crown may lose rhinestones after normal wear. Replacement of your state crown or sash will be $50 for each plus shipping. INITIAL BELOW:*
With my signature below, I certify that I have read and understand this agreement in its entirety. Failure to follow any of the aforementioned rules may result in relinquishment of title, prizes, and awards at the discretion of the Directors. If my title is terminated, I agree to return all prizes and awards to American Royal Beauties immediately. American Royal Beauties reserves the right to alter any of these rules and responsibilities at any time, with written notice provided to contestants. Any violation of these rules will be handled at the discretion of the American Royal Beauties Directors. We reserve the right to convert this event to a virtual event at any time for any reason; we also reserve the right to move the event date and/or postpone the event date at any time for any reason. Your event will never be cancelled. All monies received are non-refundable.

By signing this form you are agreeing to all the terms and conditions set forth.

The contestant and/or appointed royalty listed below must compete in the correct age division as determined by their age on January 1st in the year of their national competition. This includes contestants for all local, state, regional, and national competitions. The Directors reserve the right to determine a contestant’s age division if the contestant ages up to the next division within 30 days of January 1st. Each situation will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis at the Directors’ discretion.

The contestant and/or appointed royalty listed below give permission to American Royal Beauties, StarJewel Showcase, and it's parent company, StarJewel Publishing LLC, to use their photographs, speeches, performances, videos, written work, art work, etc. for publicity, advertising, and marketing purposes; as well as pageant materials and publications, in perpetuity. This permission extends to any future photographs, speeches, performances, videos, written work, art work, and the like; while they are serving as reigning royalty for American Royal Beauties in any capacity, in perpetuity; and can only be revoked in writing after agreed upon by all parties.

In consideration for being accepted as a contestant and/or appointed royalty, and if the aforementioned is under the age of 18, then we the parents and/or guardians of the contestant, and the contestant individually named below; do hereby release American Royal Beauties, StarJewel Showcase, StarJewel Publishing LLC, and all of its affiliates; including its directors, staff, and volunteers, from any and all claims and damages directly or indirectly resulting from the named contestant below in any American Royal Beauties and/or StarJewel Showcase event.

The winning local, state, regional, and national titleholders will be asked to sign a contract spelling out awards and prizes won, as well as the responsibilities of the winner. All local, state, regional and appointed titleholders are required to attend the National Pageant. Special themed and Charity pageant winners are not required to attend Nationals.

It is understood that all fees are non-refundable without exception. Additionally, an event will never be cancelled, however, we reserve the right to convert any event to a virtual event for any reason.

Health Waiver/Release

ASSUMPTION OF RISK / WAIVER OF LIABILITY / INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT
In consideration of being allowed to participate in a local, state, or national competition for American Royal Beauties and/or StarJewel pageants, the undersigned acknowledges, appreciates, and agrees that:
1. Participation includes possible exposure to and illness from infectious diseases including but not limited to MRSA, influenza, and COVID-19. While particular rules and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious illness and death does exist; and,
2. I knowingly and freely assume all such risks, both known and unknown, and assume full responsibility for my participation; and,
  I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation as regards protection against infectious diseases. If, however, I observe and any unusual or significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will remove myself from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest director immediately; and,
3. I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, hereby release and hold harmless StarJewel Publishing LLC DBA StarJewel Showcase DBA StarJewel Pageants DBA American Royal Beauties and their officers, officials, agents, and/or employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event (“RELEASEES”), with respect to any and all illness, disability, death, or loss or damage to person or property, whether arising from the negligence of releasees or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, AND SIGN FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT.

This is to certify that I, as parent/guardian, with legal responsibility for this participant, have read and explained the provisions in this waiver/release to my child/ward including the risks of presence and participation and his/her personal responsibilities for adhering to the rules and regulations for protection against communicable diseases. Furthermore, my child/ward understands and accepts these risks and responsibilities. I for myself, my spouse, and child/ward do consent and agree to his/her release provided above for all the Releasees and myself, my spouse, and child/ward do release and agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees for any and all liabilities incident to my minor child’s/ward’s presence or participation in these activities as provided above, even if arising from their negligence, to the fullest extent provided by law.
