Salsa competitors can register online at wrightwoodchamber.org through October 7 and also on the day of the event. Participants will be assigned a table space by category. Decorations are not required. Space size is approximately 3' wide from side to side.
1. Contestants need to deliver their Salsa (w/ingredient list, not recipe), entry form and fee to the Wrightwood Community Building between 9 - 10 a.m. on the day of event. Spaces will be assigned at that time. Contestants must prepare at least 1.5 gallons of Salsa for tasting purposes. Cost for each entry is $5 - no limit on entries.
2. Salsa will be judged on: Aroma, Appearance, Taste and Aftertaste on a 1 - 5 point rating scale.
3. Please mark your containers on the bottom with your name. Pick up of containers is from 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. in the Community Building.
4.Awards will be presented outside at Vivian Null Park at approximately 2:00 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for each category and for the People's Choice winner.
Blind judging will begin at 10:15 a.m. Public Tasting begins at 11:00 a.m.
