Desert Sky Montessori recognizes that volunteer assistance in schools can enrich the educational program, increase supervision of students, contribute to school safety and strengthen a school's relationships with the community. Desert Sky encourages parents, guardians and other members of the community to share their time, knowledge and abilities with students. Desert Sky Montessori requires school volunteers to be screened and authorized to volunteer.

Friends of Desert Sky (FODS) is a parent-led organization that supports a wide breadth of tasks at our school, including:

• Plan fundraising and community-building events
• Solicit donations and sponsorships from local businesses
• Organize Teacher Appreciation Week
