1. Office Deal of the Year
Entries for this award will come from property teams that have completed a notable office property deal during the period 1st Janurary 2022 - 31st December 2022. This could relate to a sale, letting, acquisition or lease re-gear.
Judges will be looking to award an office deal which has made a significant impact on the Midlands property landscape. This could be related to expertise / tangential thinking in securing the deal, innovation in the structure of the transaction or the economic / perceptual impact in years to come.
The Judges will use their personal knowledge of the property industry to assess the performance of entrants but is looking to reward the wider team involved in the transaction. Please ensure that all participant efforts are included.
2. Industrial Deal of the Year
Entries for this award will come from property teams that have completed a notable industrial property deal during the period 1st Janurary 2022 - 31st December 2022. This could relate to a sale, letting, acquisition or lease re-gear.

3. Investment Deal of the Year
Entries for this award will come from property teams that have completed a notable property investment transaction during the period 1st Janurary 2022 - 31st December 2022.
Judges will be looking to award an investment deal which has hit the headlines with criteria that has had a major impact on the Midlands property landscape.
The judges will use their personal knowledge of the property industry to assess the performance of entrants but is looking to reward the wider team involved in the transaction. Please ensure that all participant efforts are included.
4. The ESG Award
This category is open to any business working in the commercial property sector across Midlands. They must be able to demonstrate a project or initiative that has raised the bar in terms of its sustainability or environmental impact during the period 1st Janurary 2022 - 31st December 2022.
In particular, the judges will be interested to see projects which show an innovative approach to any/all areas of ESG.
5. The Rising Star Award
This category seeks to reward the industry’s most promising star, working within commercial property in Midlands. Entrants can be traditionally trained or come from a non-property background, as long as they are making an impact on the industry right now.
Open to applicants under the age of 35 or those who are new to the industry (within the past 10 years), setting out in forging a new career for themselves.
Submissions should explain how the nominee has demonstrated practice above and beyond expectations, highlight key achievements that make them stand out from the rest and demonstrate the individuals’ potential to contribute to the industry in the future. The entry can be made by the individual or nominated by someone else.
6. Residential Developer of the Year
We’re looking for a residential developer with an outstanding performance. Judges will be looking for companies that have developed landmark schemes with a clear strategy and vision, innovation, sustainability and of course the ‘wow’ factor during the period from 1st Janurary 2022 - 31st December 2022.
7. Regeneration Project of the Year
An Award for a building, scheme, landmark or other construction project of any size or type completed during the period from 1st Janurary 2022 - 31st December 2022, that the judging panel consider to be the best contribution to or catalyst for the regeneration of its local area within the Midlands.
The development will be judged on the following criteria:
- Catalyst for the regeneration of the wider area – the extent to which the project has acted as a catalyst for the regeneration of the surrounding area or created opportunities for this to happen in the future.
- Economic regeneration benefits of the scheme – jobs created or saved, investment brought in, training provided, etc.
- Social, community and environmental regeneration benefits – including facilities for local residents, support for community groups, sustainability features, etc.
- Response to constraints and other regeneration factors – e.g. how dealt with brownfield land, contaminated land, listed building status, etc.
- Quality of design and building/conservation works
- Development sensitivity – to the surrounding area
- Innovation used in the project
- Budgetary considerations - eg funding streams accessed, public versus private funding received, etc.
8. Development Funding Award
This category aims to regconise the funding partner of a developement deal.
The Judges will be looking on how the funding partner has helped the development and how important they are to the project.
