  • This MOU documents that the partner listed above is a member of the Rural Network.

    This MOU outlines a shared vision of collaboration and the ongoing relationship between the Rural Network and the key community partner listed above. 

  • Background

  • The mission of the Rural Network is, “Connecting and supporting rural Washington to build resilience and prevent youth substance misuse.” We do this by collaborating with partners across the state, building capacity for prevention, and developing shared resources tailored to rural needs. It is imperative to the mission that the incredible partners remain involved in a mutually beneficial, sustainable relationship.

  • Collaboration

  • This MOU outlines key goals for collaboration as follows:

    • Sustain a unified prevention network across Rural Washington communities
    • Maximize impact of strategies by sharing and collaborating with key partners
    • Design tools and resources that meet rural needs
    • Amplify rural voices in policy decisions locally and statewide 

    To accomplish the goals above, the Rural Network will:

    • Convene Rural Network meetings monthly
    • Maintain the Rural Steering Committee, which meets monthly
    • Host Toolkit Workgroup Meetings or other sub-committees when relevant
    • Share latest science and prevention research with partners when applicable
    • Offer training and capacity building opportunities to members when able

    To accomplish the goals above, partners may:

    • Serve on a committee or provide guidance through stakeholder feedback
    • Attend or share events hosted by the network
    • Promote campaigns and resources of the coalition within local communities (when they align with local needs and goals)  
    • Support the planning process and inform decision-making by providing input
    • Provide opportunities for mutual partnership when capacity and goals align  
  • Funding

  • This MOU is not a commitment of funds.

  • Duration

  • This MOU is at-will and may be modified by mutual consent. This MOU shall become effective upon signature and will remain in effect until modified or terminated by any one of the partners or by mutual consent.
