Personality Tests & Choosing A Doberman

As our dogs are bred for protection and service work, personality plays a big factor.

All of our Dobermans are personality tested and certified (if they pass the test) at 7 weeks old. *Important Note* Doberman personalities are subject to change based on their environment, training and treatment.

Upon completion of the personality test, buyers can choose their specific Doberman based off of their desires/needs (i.e. personality score, color, gender, etc.)

Buyer’s choice will be on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Dobermans will be allowed to go to their forever homes at  8 weeks.

    Doberman Pick up and Transportation

Dobermans will be available for pickup on the date specified by the seller (no sooner than 8 weeks old) In person pick up is recommended.

Transportation will only be considered at the buyer’s expense using an approved service. Caution must be used when transporting to ensure no negative experience for the Doberman as this can damage behavioral development.

If the buyer is using a service to transport the Doberman, a deposit must be placed before the transportation is scheduled. After transportation confirmation, the remaining amount will be due before the Doberman leaves the care of the seller. If payment in full has not been completed before the scheduled time of transportation, the Doberman will not be sent and the buyer will be subject to the costs of such and possibly the termination of the purchase.

If purchase of the Doberman is terminated due to transportation cancelations  and failure to complete the purchase, the deposit will not be refunded.

A picture of the buyer with the Doberman will be required for legal purposes after the transaction is complete. This is so that the seller can prove that the buyer has received their Doberman in order to mitigate any payment disputes. If the buyer does not want their picture used on social media, the seller's website, or any other platform that the seller may use for proof of their Doberman's quality, the buyer is required to inform the seller and the buyer's privacy will be taken very seriously and respected.

    Health Guarantee

We love our Dobermans and are here to support you during EVERY stage of the Doberman’s entire life. We will do everything that we can to ensure that you are happy with your new best friend. If the buyer comes across an unexpected ailment that can be traced back to the Doberman’s birth and care while with the seller, the seller will pay the buyer's vet bill for up to 50% of the original cost of the Doberman.

In order to get approval for aid with vet cost , the Doberman must have been cared for under the following conditions:

    • Quality food - the Doberman must have been fed Bil Jac quality or better dog food for large breeds (Large breed Doberman food for up to 1 year old) and supplemented with home-made dog food on a regular basis (organs, coconut oil, real meat, eggs, etc.)
    • The Doberman always has a clean place to stay with the proper protection from nature and the elements fitting to its needs (not allowed to get too hot or too cold for very long depending on the season)
    • The Doberman is exercised and given all the care it needs to encourage a healthy weight (overly obese or dogs that were clearly underfed will void the health guarantee)
    • Regular Vet Checks (Yearly Min.)
    • Never rehomed - in possession and care of by the original owners

It is important to note that any ailments listed as side effects from products or environemnts used for the Doberman's care are not covered. This includes vaccines, medications, flea/tick/parasite treatments, topical aplications, dog food, or any other reasonable environmental factor or producut utilized for the Doberman's intended well-being.

After the buyer has been approved for vet care aid, the buyer can have their vet send the seller a one-time bill for the cost of the Doberman’s care for up to 50% of the original purchase cost of the Doberman and not to exceed $5,000.

For example, if the buyer purchased a Doberman from the seller for $3900 and qualified for aid with the seller's health guarantee, the seller would pay the buyer's vet bill once for up to $1950.

In special cases if the cost is greater than that or the buyer's Doberman didn’t survive the illness, multiple payments to the vet or a replacement Doberman could be considered depending upon the situation.

The Seller guarantees your Doberman(s) to be free from infectious diseases for 4 days after the Doberman leaves their premises.

The seller does not guarantee temperament. We breed only from dogs that have demonstrated great stable temperament.

All our Dobermans are temperament tested by Tackleberry Solutions and sound upon pickup. We take great pains to provide a secure, loving environment for our Dobermans from birth and provide daily socialization.

After Pickup, the responsibility is on the Buyer to provide a good environment, training and proper socialization. It is the buyer’s responsibility to keep the Doberman free from harm and bad interactions with other people, dogs and animals.

Any negative exposure of the Doberman to a bad experience with other dogs or people can cause lasting effects.

The Buyer agrees to provide a safe environment. We do not consider a rope or chain tie-out or letting the Doberman run wild to be safe or appropriate.

Dobermans also have short fur and are very temperature sensitive. They must be allowed a WARM/dry place to stay during the winter and a cool/dry place to stay during the summer (a cheap dog house is not enough). Otherwise, this is considered abusive.

Seller will provide Buyer with a Doberman(s) that leaves Seller’s House clean; in good general health and that has no known physical defects without full disclosure.

It is generally recognized that intestinal parasites (worms etc) are common in Dobermans, and are a part of a Doberman’s early development but we will make every effort to remove parasites.

Often, however, the stress of change and travel can cause intestinal parasites to emerge. Buyer agrees to continue parasite testing and treatment (if necessary).

Failure to have the Doberman regularly examined by a vet or if Buyer fails to provide required care and treatment will mean that this health guarantee will be void.

Tail Docking, Ear Croppings & Dew Claws Removal

Dobermans may come with their tails docked and ears cropped. Please feel free to ask us if you have any questions regarding care and posting the Doberman’s ears.

Dew claws will NOT have been removed since they can aid the canine if it were to ever have to grapple with an attacker. Reminder: Our canines are bred for work, not show.

    AKC & Pedigree Registration

To provide proof of heritage, breeding, accomplishments and personality scores, each one of our Dobermans is assigned their own, unique ID number that is included with their Tackleberry Solutions personality score certificate and registration. Along with their associated web page where you can refer to it for further information.

To be clear, we are not affiliated with the AKC or any other club. While we’ve had the option to do that with all of our canines, we have chosen not to go that route because we don’t associate with monoplies.

In conjunction with that, let me stress that our canines are bred for work and not show.

If you have further questions regarding this policy, feel free to ask.

    Breeding Rights

We do not feel that anyone should have the right to tell you what to do with your dog once it belongs to you. As such, all breeding rights are yours, please use them wisely – do your research and be prepared for a mountain of work, cost, responsibility and dedication.

If you do decide to breed, you can get your new litter’s personalities tested and certified with Tackleberry Solutions. Learn more about that here: https://tackleberrysolutions.com/personality-test/

    Training/Warnings

We are not liable for the training and actions of your dog. The Doberman’s personality and temperament will change with the dog’s environment, how it was raised, attention given and training. If your dog bites, injures or attacks someone or something, it is on you. We (the seller) do not take responsibility for your dog’s actions and are not liable in any manner.

    Doberman Confirmation & Deposits

Deposits guarantee that the buyer gets a Doberman and also shows the buyer’s sincerity. All deposits are non-refundable. The deposit goes towards the total cost of the Doberman.

Deposits will be paid with this Agreement to guarantee that Seller will reserve a Doberman(s) for the Buyer to pick up on the agreed date.

*Note:  If we (the seller) cannot get ahold of you (the buyer) for important questions/updates or to schedule the Doberman’s pickup time/date within a 48 hour period (unless communicated beforehand) – the buyer forfeits the Doberman and does NOT get a deposit refund.

To expound, if you do not have time to communicate with the Doberman’s needs, then you do not have time to care for the Doberman. Notice: You will have 1 week from release date to pick up your Doberman. Failure to do so will result in you forfeiting your Doberman(s) and the deposits (unless specified beforehand).

    Avoiding Scams

To ease any possible concerns you may have: If you place your deposit with us, you WILL get a Doberman or we will refund your deposit.  We own a business and take pride in our name. Accepting a deposit and then not producing the product would forever damage our reputation.

We’ve been working for years to establish an honorable name with positive reviews of our business. If you have a complaint or a compliment, you can add your review on our website here: Tackleberry Solutions Reviews

When it comes time to pick up the Doberman, cash only will be accepted for the remaining amount due. This is to avoid numberless scams that have been committed against breeders.

    Deposit Details

There are no refunds on Deposits, unless otherwise agreed here in writing. Failure of the Buyer to complete this purchase would subject Seller to lost opportunities to sell the Doberman(s) to some other Buyer and retention of the Deposit is meant to compensate Seller for their possible loss.

This Deposit signifies the intent on the part of the Buyer to follow through with the Purchase of this Doberman(s).

The Seller reserves the right to void all Doberman reservations if the seller learn of any reason why Buyer might not be suitable for the Doberman – (ie. Buyer is found to be an animal abuser, violent person, representative of a Pet Store, representative of a pharmaceutical research laboratory etc.)

If through some tragic accident the Doberman were to die or be otherwise seriously injured before it goes to its new home, then of course, the deposit will be returned to the Buyer.

    Preferred Deposit Payment Method:

Cash or we can send you an invoice.

(*Note: Please be sure an agreement has been made before completing the deposit. We require that we actually talk to the buyers of our dogs so that we can ensure that they would be good, responsible owners.)

We will not reserve a Doberman(s) until the deposit and this Agreement is received and cannot guarantee that a Doberman will be available until after the deposit is completed. After which, a Doberman will be reserved for you.

If you choose to mail this agreement and no Doberman is available at the time we receive this Agreement and Deposit, we will return the deposit.
