• 2022 OCALA CHRISTMAS PARADE VENDOR APPLICATION

  • Deadline: Applications must be RECEIVED by November 18, 2022

    Parade Date: Saturday, December 10, 2022

    Fee: $75 for up to 5 Vendor Permits

    Parade Route & Sales Boundaries: East Silver Springs Boulevard, between 25th Avenue and NE 8th Avenue. (Parade runs East to West down the Boulevard.)

    If approved, Vendor Permits will be mailed directly to you on or before December 3, 2022.

  • BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR VENDOR PERMIT APPLICATION, PLEASE NOTE:

    The Friends of the Christmas Parade organization will select only properly licensed food and merchandise vendors, that benefit local non-profit organizations, to participate in the Ocala Christmas Parade. Any other Seasonal items (e.g.: Christmas trees, fireworks) or temporary rental items (electric scooters/Segways, bleacher seating, bounce houses, etc.) are STRICTLY PROHIBITED along the parade route, as well as in the parade set-up and dispersal areas.  Any unpermitted food and merchandise vendors OR displays/vendors of prohibited items will be removed from the event by the Ocala Police Department.

  • VENDOR RULES AND REGULATIONS

    1. There is no selling on the street (parade route) and/or in front of spectators. Selling is to be done behind the spectators or from a stationary location.
    2. No persons are allowed to dress as Santa Clause.
    3. No fireworks or poppers are to be sold, in accordance with Ocala Municipal Code - Chapter 38: Fire Prevention and Protection, due to the potential danger to spectators and participants. Police have the authority to seize such items on sale or in use within 200 feet of the parade route or within assembly and dispersal areas.
    4. Each accepted vendor will be mailed an acceptance letter along with up to five (5) Vendor Identification tags, that MUST be worn for the duration of the event. If these tags are not visible, you will be asked to leave the premises by either a committee membre or law enforcement personnel.
    5. Vendor must have a $1,000,000 General Liability insurance policy in place. A copy of the certificate of insurance is to be included with the application.
    6. All vendors are subject to review and a reference check. Entry may be denied without reason. If your application is denied, the application fee will be refunded.
    7. Vendor may only sell items approved by the Friends of the Christmas Parade, Inc. Only items that you list on your application may be sold. Be sure to list ALL products and prices for items that will be sold by your organization.
    8. Vendors must be completely et up and ready to sell no later than 4:00 PM on the day of the parade.
    9. All vendors, and thse selling on their behalf, are expected to act in a courteous and professional manner. Failure to do so will be noted and may prohibit future particiation in the Ocala Christmas Parade.
    10. Any vendors, or those selling on their behalf, who possess or are under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be removed from the premises as this is a violation of the laws of the City of Ocala. There will be canine units patrolling the route.
    11. THE COMMITTEE RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY VENDOR APPLICATION. Vendor rules must be followed - NO exceptions! Parade officials and law enforcement officers have the right to remove any vendor, or those selling on their behalf, if these rules are not followed.

  • VENDOR PERMITS WILL BE ISSUED ONLY FOR LOCAL NON-PROFIT GROUPS OR WHEN A PORTION OF THE PROCEEDS ARE GIVEN DIRECTLY TO A DESIGNATED LOCAL NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION.

  • Vendor Permits must be worn around neck and visible at all times. A Vendor Fee of $75 will be charged for each application which will include 5 permits. A fee of $75 will be charged for each additional batch of 5 permits with a maximum of 20. The fee is NOT pro-rated. You must secure and get permission for your location in advance. The Friends of the Christmas Parade IS NOT responsible for your vending location. Limited quantities of permits are available.
