  • Queer individuals invest/perform emotional labor in many subtle and explicit ways while navigating their identities through both physical and online spaces. This section aims to probe the emotional labor expended by queer folks at their workplaces / research labs towards making them safer and more inclusive places that are welcoming for queer folks, especially at the intersections.

Disclaimer: We acknowledge that a lot of queer individuals encounter barriers such as risking outing themselves, security, and safety among others that prevent them from performing this emotional labor. Please know that performing this labor itself comes with certain privileges that are associated with one's identity, and the inability to perform it doesn't undermine or undervalue your queerness or identity.
