      Emergent Technology in EducationThis short course will help educators appreciate how innovative digital devices and software may be used in teaching and learning. Educators will be provided with practical guidance on how such technologies (such as data analytics, artificial intelligence, digital games and robotics) may facilitate teaching and learning, increase learners' digital competence and/or enable equity in education. By the end of this course, participants will be able to describe various emergent technologies and their value in teaching and learning including the social and ethical issues that innovative technology may pose.

    • Open Educational Resources
      Open Educational ResourcesThe scope of this short course is to help educators appreciate how Open Educational Resources can be beneficial for teaching and learning. Educators will be provided with practical guidance on how to locate openly available resources (e.g. course materials, multimedia and podcasts) and make proper use of them. By the end of this course the participants will be able to understand related concepts of which; open licencing, public domain and copyright, distinguish the different types of creative common licences and properly attribute a digital artefact with a creative common licence.
