Texas Mushroom Festival Auto Showcase 2023 Contest Rules
Cost: $25 per entry. (one form of payment is ok for all entries) Checks should be made out to Texas Mushroom Festival.
Contest Rules and Format:
o Multiple vehicle entries per owner are permitted and welcome.
o All entries will showcase their auto on the festival grounds on October 14, 2023 from 10 am until 3 pm. You may arrive on site as early as 8:30 am but the Vehicle entered MUST arrive by 10 am and stay the duration.
o Contestants will be responsible for maintaining the safety of their own vehicle(s) – ensuring Festival attendees or others from unwanted touching, getting in/out of their vehicle, etc.
o Contestants will receive their packet and complete instructions upon arrival.
o The packet includes one (1) t-shirt and one (1) complimentary ticket to the Taste of Texas tent for live entertainment and Kraft Beer / Wine tasting. (Note: one packet per contestant, irrespective of number of vehicle entries.)
o Winners for all categories (except People’s Choice Overall Category) will be determined by a panel of judges and their decision is FINAL.
o Voting by Festival attendees will determine the People’s Choice Overall Winner. If a draw occurs in the People’s Choice Overall Category, the judges will determine the winner between the tied participants and their decision is FINAL.
o The Top Award Winners will receive a trophy and a featured spot on the Festival Website and the Madisonville Meteor Newspaper.
o Judging will be at 2 pm with the awards presented at 3 pm. You must be present to win.
o Any violation of the contest rules will result in disqualification. NO REFUND.
Categories: Pre-1960 - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places
1960-1980 - 1st, 2nd and 3rd places
1980-Present - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places
People's Choice - Overall -voted on by festival attendees (one vote per person)
Judges Choice - 2nd place Overall
Best in Show - 1st place Overall
