In partnership with our alumni, board, private foundations, and individual donors, we are proud of our ability to provide financial assistance to camp families. We profoundly believe in the power of Jewish Camp and are committed to making camp work for your family.
We do our best to meet your family's individual needs, but please understand that our pool for financial assistance is limited. Should you be a member of a local congregation, we encourage you to contact them to inquire about additional financial aid opportunities. Many local Federations also offer assistance for summer camp and Israel experiences.
We take the security of your personal information seriously. This form is secure, as is the document submission process. Our committe, which is comprised of alumni and board members, has committed to reviewing applications in the strictest of confidences.
In addition to this application, your family must submit a signed copy of your Federal Income Tax Returns for 2021, as well as any and all W-2 forms for both 2021 and 2022. Clearly, you don't have your W-2 for the current year! Through our pre-approval approval process, your can receive a provisional scholarship award that will later be verified by your tax information. This documentation is due December 16, 2022, and your 2022 W-2 is due by February 11, 2023. These forms can be securely submitted electronically at the end of this application or via a seperate secure document uploader. Forms should not be emailed.
When will I receive a decision? First round applications are due on November 15, 2022. Our committee will be meeting shortly after the application deadline, and you will have a decision back by mid December 2022. After that date, applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. We strongly advise you to complete your application as soon as possible. Once you have received a response from our committee, your family can:
- Accept the finanical aid award and setup a payment plan to pay off the balance due by March 1, 2023.
- Accept the financial aid award and pay your balance in full by March 1, 2023.
- Reject the initial financial aid award and submit a review request to go back to the committee as the inital award does not meet your needs.
We are committed to working with you as your family moves through the financial aid process. Please do not hesitate to contact our office at 301-231-5300, or email Kelsey Thieke, Assistant Director of Operations, with any questions or concerns.
Ready to move forward? Great!
