LICENSE FEE SCHEDULE

The license fee for your rental property MUST be uploaded with this application. No applications submitted without proof of your E-Pay payment will be accepted. Please refer to the 2025 Renewal Application & Invoice License mailed to the property contact on file to see if this property qualifies for an early payment discount if paid on or before December 2, 2024. The fee shall be determined by the following schedule:

NOTE: If the application and payment for the renewal of any Rental License are not submitted prior to January 1st in any given year, the base license fee shall be increased by an additional twenty (20) percent on the first day of each subsequent month, until such time as a complete license application and the required license fee is paid. In the event that said application, along with the required license fee is not filed as provided herein, said license shall, at the discretion of the City, not be issued.

LICENSE FEE PAYMENT USING E-PAY:

Credit or debit card payments are accepted on the City's website through the State of Illinois E-Pay System. Note that a 2.25% service fee applies. Click here to access. Remember to keep the tab for this application open while you make your payment to follow the instructions below:

- Right click on the link above and select "Open as a new tab".

- Click on "Make a One Time Payment" and then select "Rental License Renewal" as the Payment Category.

- For "Account Number", enter the street address of your rental property in West Chicago, such as "475 Main Street".

- Enter the total license fee amount to pay per the Rental License Renewal Invoice you were mailed on November 1, 2024.

- Once your payment has been made, you will receive an email confirmation.

LICENSE ISSUANCE:
- All license fee renewal payments are due by no later than December 31 of each calendar year. Payments received after January 1 are subject to a 20% late fee (above the base fee) for each month received after the due date.
- When your full payment and the completed renewal application are received, your Rental License Certificate will be emailed to the PRIMARY CONTACT email address listed above within 7 to 10 business days. Licenses will not be released unless your completed renewal application is accompanied by the email confirmation of your E-Pay payment in full.
