Thank you for registering to attend a Justice at Work focus group with the Single Mothers' Alliance and UBC. There are three online options available to everyone, and one in-person option for those who wish to meet in person and live in Vancouver. The in-person option will take place in the evening on November 17th, 2022 at Britannia Community Centre. We will send out more detailed information to those who register for the in-person event shortly.
The evening in-person option will include a catered hot meal for participants and children, plus on-site childminding and transit coverage. At-home childminding honoraria is also available if need be. To be eligible to participate in the Justice at Work focus groups, you must meet the following eligibility criteriaL
Are over 18 years of age
Identify as a lone-mother or woman who is the sole caregiver/guardian for at least one child under the age of 19 who resides with you at least some of the time
Consider yourself to have a low and/or unreliable income
Have experienced work-related impacts (changes in/at work, loss of hours, loss of jobs/work) due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Reside in BC and have lived in BC for at least six months immediately prior to today
Are able to communicate in English
