  • Hindmarsh Shire Council is seeking Expressions of Interest from members of the community for the newly formed Hindmarsh Pride Committee.

     

    The Hindmarsh Pride Committee (formerly called LGBTIQ+ Reference Group) will provide advice to ensure Council’s broader policy issues and Council Plan and programs reflect the interests of the LGBTIQ+ community.

     

    Council is seeking expressions of interest for volunteer committee members representing the LGBTIQ+ community to meet four timers per year.

The matter may be considered confidential, as defined in section 3 of the Local Government Act 2020, but may be published in the Council Meeting Agenda and Minutes as well as being accessible in the meeting live-stream and published meeting recording.

  • A panel will consider all applications and make recommendations to the Council meeting being held on 26 October and you will be notified of the outcome following this meeting.

  • Please note:
    If you are elected to be a member of the Hindmarsh Pride Committee, you are required to become a volunteer for Council. All volunteers for Council are required to complete a Volunteer Registration Form, Volunteer Working with Children Check and Police Check prior to commencing any work on behalf of Council.
