    Was your business impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic? If so, you likely qualify for a tax credit of up to $26,000 per employee, depending on your business, through the ERC Program within the CARES Act. To determine if your business qualifies for this tax credit, simply complete the short questionnaire below.  
  • Are you a business owner or part of an ownership team?
  • Did you pay any W2 wages in 2020 or 2021? The ERC credit is calculated as a percentage of W2 wages paid - 1099 wages do NOT qualify. Note: The wages of majority owners (over 50%) and their immediate relatives (even if paid W2) do not qualify for the ERC program. Wages for all other W2 employees still qualify.

  • Approximately, how many W2 employees did you have on the payroll in 2020?
  • Approximately, how many W2 employees did you have on the payroll in 2021?

  • Employee Retention Credit Qualification Options

    The following screens will present three different ways that your company can qualify for the Employee Retention Credit. Please answer the questions in all three sections to determine your eligibility for the program.

  • Were your gross receipts (total deposits) for at least one quarter in 2020 less than 50% of your gross receipts for the same quarter in 2019? Example: Q3 of 2020 had less than 50% of gross receipts as Q3 of 2019.
  • Were your gross receipts (total deposits) for at least one quarter in 2021 less than 20% of your gross receipts for the same quarter in 2019? Example: Q3 of 2021 had less than 20% of gross receipts as Q3 of 2019.
  • Did you experience a supply chain disruption due to a  government order suspension on your supplier(s)? This does not mean that your revenue must have decreased to use this qualification. If you were unable to find a replacement supplier and the material shortage resulted in a  10% impact on your business' revenue, this qualification applies.
  • Did you experience a full or partial suspension or reduced operations due to a COVID government order? **See note below
  • Note: The cumulative effect must have had a more than 10% impact on your business operations when considering the gross receipts of that portion of your business. This does not mean that your revenue must have decreased to use this qualification.

    A few examples of things that qualify you include: 

    • Federal, state or local mandates required your business to limit capacity or fully or partially shut down
    • Reduction of goods or services offered
    • Social distancing or indoor capacity restrictions
    • Reduction to the hours of operations
    • Suspending on-site work or client meetings
    • Delayed or canceled projects due to Covid related disruptions
    • Limited capacity to operate
    • Time taken from productivity to clean/sanitize
    • Disruptions to your sales force’s ability to visit cutomers
    • Shifting of hours of operations to increase facility sanitation
    • Unable to attend trade shows
    • Inability to visit job sites
    • Inability to attend normal networking events
    • Inability to work with vendors
    • Business travel was restricted

  • Based on your answers, you DO QUALIFY for the ERC program.
