Watch #1--Thursday Day and Evening--12pm Team arrives to set up. Team Preparation--Our Deeper Still Team spends the day packing up our cars, driving to the retreat location, and setting up. By 4:30pm-5:30pm We do a prayer march around the grounds and throughout all buildings we will use.
Thursday evening after dinner we spend the night preparing ourselves. We worship, minister to each other and get final instructions. We need strength, energy, grace, organization, love, unity, faith, purpose, protection and health.
Watch #2--Friday Evening--6:30pm-8:30pm Our participants share their stories--For some, this will be the first time she/he has had the courage to share her/his abortion story. The Objective: To share their story, to bring what is hidden into the light, and to assure them that God's love covers them.
Watch #3--Saturday Morning 8:30am -12:30pm We start the day with worship and then do a teaching called The Perfect Plan. The Objective: To heighten their understanding about the sacredness of every human life; that we are all made in the image of God. And to help them see these truths about themselves and about their aborted babies. Then we teach The Perfect Sacrifice in Isaiah 53. The Objective: To bring clarity to who Jesus Christ is and an understanding of the depth of His sacrifice and the sufficiency of the price He paid for our forgiveness and redemption. To receive the full payment Jesus made for them by canceling their debt - PAID IN FULL! To forgive themselves for their abortion(s) and to forgive those who sinned against them. There is a prayer time of forgiveness and breaking shame.
Watch #4--Saturday Afternoon 1:15pm-3:15pm-- Grieving and Reconciliation. The Objective: To bring the participants understanding of their need for spiritual reconciliation with their babie, to provide a tangible symbol of their babies, to release participants to healthy grieving and the joy of reconcilation, and to bring comfort. This section is emotional as she/he has her/his mothering/fathering reaffirmed and their heart connects with this healing.
Watch #5--Saturday Afternoon--3:15pm-6:00pm--We work individually with the participants and give personal attention. There is prayer to bring down strongholds and set her/him free, and also for encouragement. The Objective: To identify and break the strongholds and sever the soul ties that keep them bound and held captive.
Watch #6--Saturday Evening--7:00pm-9:30pm--By this time a load has been lifted, so we have a time of rejoicing, praising and worshiping. They have a new found freedom and a new level of faith to ask the Lord to restore all that the locust has eaten. The Objective: To give a time to reflect on the day and give the participants an opportunity to share and give testimony to what God has done for them this day. A time to repent for aligning with a culture of death, to pray for generational healing in their family line, and to plant a vision in them to participate in healing the land defiled by abortion. As well to exhort them to not go back to old patterns, to receive new vision for the restoration of other areas of their lives, beyond their healing from abortion. And, to celebrate the breakthroughs of the day by offering up extended worship to God.
Watch #7--Sunday Morning--8:30-10:30--The Memorial Service--This memorial service is more beautiful than we can describe! The Objective: To bring honor and blessing to their children, to release their mothers or fathers blessing, and to impart a spiritual exchange to the participants based on Isaiah 61:1-3. The participants get a garland of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a mantle of praise for the spirit of heaviness.
Watch #8--Rear Guard--Sunday Afternoon (last day of the retreat) through The Following Sunday--The week following the retreat is a vulnerable time for the participants and the team, but especially the team. We are not ignorant of the enemy's schemes, but we do need others to pray defensive prayers for us and our families. We need prayer for protection and victory.
"Each of us has been chosen to be a watchman of the Lord in this generation. It is a calling. An assignment. And in whatever ways God calls you to pray, it should be a very strategic appointment on your calendar." ~James Goll, God Encounters Ministries
If you can pray for at least 15 minutes during one or more of these 8 watches, you will have blessed and strengthened God's army of sons and daughters! Please sign up in the comments section below. We realize the power of "two or more" gathering to agree in prayer, so if you can pray with others during your chosen watch, please note that below also.
