Red Cap Ambassadors are the faces of heart disease and stroke
Every 39 seconds, someone has a heart attack. Every 3 minutes and 33 seconds, someone has a stroke.
Those are the numbers, but heart disease and stroke are more than numbers. Heart disease and stroke affect our family, friends, coworkers – maybe they even affect YOU.
The American Heart Association in Utica is seeking survivors to be our Red Cap Ambassadors (RCA) in 2023 and remind our community that when they support America’s Greatest Heart Run & Walk, they support the people of the Mohawk Valley.
Nearly 50 years old, America’s Greatest Heart Run & Walk brings our community together to raise money to save the lives of people who have heart attacks or strokes. Red Cap Ambassadors share their passion for life and inspire participants of America’s Greatest Heart Run & Walk. Red Cap Ambassadors educate participants about the personal experience of heart disease and stroke. They inspire participants to create teams to raise the funds that the American Heart Association will invest in research and education to save the lives of Mohawk Valley residents.
