Volunteer Agreement
Thank you for offering your time to volunteer with BARK Rescue CA. The work we do for dogs is only possible with the help of our volunteers. By completing this form you are acknowledging that you are voluntarily agreeing to serve as a volunteer for BARK Rescue CA, a registered 501(c)(3) Charitable Organization, whose goal is to help reduce the overpopulation of homeless companion pets by 1. rescuing companion pets from the stressful and sometimes overcrowded shelter environment, 2. placing them in foster homes to decompress, and 3. placing them in loving forever homes after they have been spayed and vaccines have been updated.

Confidentiality
During my association with BARK Rescue CA and thereafter, I agree to keep confidential and refrain from disclosing to others all confidential or proprietary information that I create, learn about, have access to or utilize during my volunteer work at BARK Rescue CA. I understand this agreement covers all confidential business and technical information of BARK Rescue CA that is not generally known to persons outside BARK Rescue CA and that I have not been authorized to disclose or use. Examples of confidential information includes, but is not limited to, contact information and addresses of BARK Rescue CA's foster parents, information on finances, donors, internal meetings, discussions, private emails, text messages and social media threads, as well as information contained in BARK Rescue CA's system of records.

Assumption of Risk and Responsibility for my own acts and omissions.
I agree to be legally and financially responsible and will hold BARK Rescue CA harmless for my own acts and omissions relating to the service I am voluntarily providing to BARK Rescue CA. I acknowledge that I am responsible for providing my own medical, liability and auto insurance during my volunteer service for BARK Rescue CA. I understand that I am not covered by workers' compensation nor am I insured by BARK Rescue CA during the performance of my volunteer duties and tasks.

I am knowingly and voluntarily participating in the activities of BARK Rescue CA with full knowledge and appreciation of the risks and dangers involved with animal care and hereby agree to accept all risks of injury, death or damage to myself and/or my personal property associated with my volunteer work. As a volunteer, I may come into contact with and interact with dogs, and such work has an inherent risk of personal injury, risks of injury associated with the position include, but are not limited to, being bitten, falling or subject to trauma, and possibly exposed to animal borne diseases.

Photo, Video and Audio Release
I understand that as a volunteer of BARK Rescue CA, I may be recorded on film, video or other electronic recording media. I hereby consent to such recording and the use by BARK Rescue CA of any recorded images or other media recordings to further the objectives of BARK Rescue CA. I further grant BARK Rescue CA permission to copyright and use, reuse, publish and republish A-V Recordings, for art, advertising, or other purpose it sees it.

Representation to the Public
I agree not to wear attire or advertise my association with BARK Rescue CA with regard to my participation in any political statement, protest, or organization. I also agree not to modify, distort, or change the BARK Rescue CA logo on any clothing or attire I wear in public.

Parent/Guardian Responsibility and/or Permission for Minor Volunteers
Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at in-person event who will assume full responsibility for the minor volunteer and accept all conditions of this NDA and Volunteer Waiver on the minor's behalf. Parents and guardians accept that this NDA and waiver agreement extends to activities by minor volunteers that are not in-person activities. If the parent/guardian is not present at in-person activities, by signing this agreement, the parent/guardian agrees to release BARK Rescue CA of liability of the volunteer.

Acknowledgement
I have read this Release and fully understand that I will waive any and all claims and actions now or in the future against BARK Rescue CA. I am of legal age and competent to sign this agreement. I am signing this agreement of my own free will without the influence of anyone at BARK Rescue CA. I further acknowledge that this agreement will apply for the entire term of my volunteer relationship with BARK Rescue CA. My signature below shall serve as my acknowledgement and agreement to the terms, conditions, waivers and disclosures contained herein.
