  • To become a line striper, you must possess a CDL and upload a copy of the license when applying.

  • To become an industrial painter, you must obtain a TWIC Transportation Security Administration card. You can apply for this card on tsa.gov. (Possession of this card may expedite your acceptance).

  • Our multi-craft decorating program is only available at our Drums facility.

  • Questions

  • Note: Many of the FTI Crafts require a TWIC (Transit Workers Identification Card), provided by Homeland Security, to enter job sites. According to Homeland Security, individuals convicted of felonies may not be eligible for TWIC clearance. It is suggested that you disclose any criminal history during the interview phase so the FTI can place you properly where TWIC cards may not be an issue. You can do so verbally or by providing a written explanation; however, neither is required.

    As part of its Standards of Apprenticeship, Affirmative Action Plan (on file with Pennsylvania Department of Apprenticeship), the FTI is tasked with tracking demographics of all applicants and students.
