Welcome Message

Thank you for offering to help with Walter Munk Day on October 15, 2022 – ‘Celebrate our Oceans’. The event opens at 10:00 am and closes at 4:00 pm and we need help throughout the day. To help you decide the times and tasks that best suit you and/or your group, I have briefly described the various tasks below. While we welcome volunteers who can work all day, we recognize time constraints and have created ‘Volunteer Shifts’. Please indicate the shift or shifts that you or your group could volunteer. *Note setup and  breakdown may require some physical exertion.

Shift 1: 8:00 am - 10:00 am

Event Setup:

• Ocean Alley Setup Tasks: Canopies and tables and chairs will be delivered to Kellogg Park
• Task involves setting up the Canopies and Tables and Chairs per the Site Map
        

General Event Help Taks:

• Distribute Ocean Alley Passports 
• Help guide kids through Ocean Alley to complete their passports      

Shift 3: 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm  

General Event Help Tasks:  

• Event Help tasks as above 
• Escort kids from Kellogg Park to LJ Shores Hotel for Deep Trekker Demos      

 Shift 4: 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm or as soon as breakdown complete  

Ocean Alley Breakdown Tasks:  

• Close up Canopies and set in pile in Kellogg Park for pickup
• Fold Tables and Chairs stack them also in Kellogg Park
