On the following pages, you will be asked to provide information regarding tuition rate recommendations and enrollment change projections for graduate and professional degree programs. Submission of this information is required by February 1, 2023 and is a required component of the FY24 Operating Budget Development process for Academic Units and Campuses. Using the “Tuition Recommendations” Excel workbook available on OPB's FY24 Operating Budget Development materials website, please provide tuition rate recommendations for 2023-24 (FY2024) and upload the Excel workbook by using the upload functionality at the bottom of this page.

As a reminder, rate recommendations for fee-based (i.e. self-sustaining) programs are handled through a separate process.  If you have questions about the fee-based process, please contact Jed Bradley (jedbrad@uw.edu).

If you are recommending the creation of a new tuition category or modification to the structure of an existing category:

• Please note that proposals for new tuition categories cannot be submitted or revised after February 1st, due to the time-intensive process that is required to implement new tuition categories.
  
  
• Please contact Jed Bradley (jedbrad@uw.edu) for instructions on how to modify the “Tuition Recommendations” Excel workbook to include a new category.
  
  
• Please be sure to identify the original tuition category, the proposed category, and suggested tuition rate for FY2024.
  
  
• If you plan to move only a subset of your programs into a new category, please identify those programs by major name, pathway, level and type.

The question(s) below DO NOT apply to the undergraduate tuition group. Please respond with your forecasted growth/contraction for graduate or professional degree programs only.
