Advanced Teen Track 2022-23

A new two-year intensive program to begin October 4th for 7 new talented teen artists to develop artistically and tap their full potential.

The Teen Advanced Track will help develop art-making skills with one-on-one networking with professional artists, a $500 budget for materials to create work, receive critique discussions, artist studio and gallery visits, field trips, public presentations, and exhibition opportunities. Advanced Track teen artists will receive a stipend to support their full participation.
Program Requisites

The requisite components of the Teen Artist Advanced Track within the two years of teen participation:

1. Program meetings with teaching artists throughout each academic year

2. Enroll in one additional elective teen programs course and/or adult studio art course.

3. Be self driven to commit to open Studio hours to work on independent projects and new ideas.

4. Attend egular online cohort meetings for participating teens and orientations for parents

5. Use of Art supplies: the Art Center will provide each teen an annual budget for supplies to be sent to their homes.
Eligibility

• Applicants must be entering Junior or Senior year in Fall 2022.

• Have completed at least one art course at their homeschool or after school with good attendance record

• Have a serious interest in art, design, social practice, research, and/or entrepreneurship as a career path.
Application Process

• Fill out application on a computer.

• Complete and submit your application by Sept 20th 2022.

• Teen candidates will be undergoing a phone interview process after the application deadline.

• Teens and parents will be notified of a decision by Friday, September 23rd.

Program Schedule

Students selected for the program must be able to commit to the full program schedule online with occasion in-person field trips. We recognize that you may not know your school schedule and additional after-school commitments at this moment.
